Honest Expectations and Bold Predictions for the 2014/15 Season

Bold prediction one out of Oscar and Schurrle to score more than 15 goals (if not both of them).

My expectations were higher when I thought we weren't going with Torres and Drogba as options for the striker position. They dropped significantly ever since and I think Mourinho stubbornness in the matter will cost us the title UNLESS my bold prediction becomes true.

If Oscar or Schurrle, but especially both, scores 15+ goals, we're settled. Our attack in general has to improve from last season, not only the strikers. We lacked incisiveness, aggressiveness, accuracy, bite and especially cojones. We need balls and I hope those players can be fired up by DD, by Mourinho and by themselves. We have a certain profile of players that concern me. Oscar, Hazard, Willian, Ramires, Azpilicueta, Torres, maybe Salah (don't know him well enough) or even Matic (not sure) don't have the winning spirit that Lamps, JT, DD, Ballack, Robben Iva have/had. Azpilli will leave his blood in the pitch, but that's because he's a clutchy player, not because he's a natural winner. we need to fire those guys up, to make them true Mourinho players that accept nothing less than winning.

So another bold prediction, at least half of those players (excluding Torres) will actually grow some wins-greedy balls (more like wishful thinking than prediction, but here is hoping).

-costa is worse than torres

-we lost the battle for 4th position in the last game.

-in champion league we get knocked out in 1/16 to roma.

-mourinho gets sacked

-hazard leaves to play in psg

-sell oscar to tottenham

-terry joins on free to manchester united

-rafa benitez replaces jose

-sign phil jones to replace terry

if that happens i'll kill myself

my predictions

-oscar 9 league goals, 6 assists

-(if schurrle starts majority of games) 23 goals all comps, 19 premier league

-hazard 10 goals 10 assists in the league

-costa 19 goals in the league

-fabregas 4 goals (2 from set pieces) 8 assists (assuming he plays in a 4-3-3)

-torres 3 goals all comps, no assists

-new contract for schurrle and hazard

-league, fa cup winners.

-semi is the league cup and champions league

-we concede less than 23 goals, courtois gets keeper of the season

just a few

How about this for a bold prediction people.

We will win the league, defending and attacking as a team (nothing more 'attractive' than that) playing brilliant football, Hazard will be unstoppable, Costa will score 20 goals while Brendan and Pellegrini will take there defending doesn't count bolax down to 6th and 3rd respectably and best of all? We will regroup next summer and do exactly the same again and again and dominate the league for years while all these miserable purists take solace in their possession trophies.

What would make all this even sweeter is everyone who critised Mourinho and keep enrolling on these tedious myths about him will be squirming when one by one all the myths get tore apart to smetherings.

you sure love arsenal.

Arsenal offensively is always a good team.

Ozil last season lacked runners when walcott got injured, but with the return of the 4 Brits and the signing of sanchez he has more runners for him to supply to.. Unlike santi and rosicky.

LVG will make sure RVP is the key man to his team.

Positive predictions

We will score goals this season.

Costa will get 27goals in all competition.

Hazard to get 18-22assists in all comps

Fabregas to score against arsenal.

Schurlle to get 17goals in all comps.

We win the league with 89points

Liverpool finish outside top four

Negative predictions

Our ams still miss chances and we end up bidding for reus in January.

Hazard still doesn't shoot as much.

Fabregas to flop in the big games but win MOTM against arsenal.

Terry to have a bad season because of a more attacking style.

Costa to get injured and Drogba goes for African cup of Nations, so we are forced to play torres

Honestly I could see us having a slightly inconsistent start to the season, both on the pitch and in terms of results which will lead to he same old faces bashing us right up November.

I reckon one might be bold enough to start a Mourinho Out thread too and for the usual suspects to be gleeful in questioning our style of play.

But from about late November through to mid-April we have a run of games where we face only three teams who finished in the top six last season (Man City, Spurs and Everton) and I expect that to be when we win or lose the league.
