I'm not sure i can even believe this is happening. Cesc fucking Fabregas? Really? I don't even know what to say. Replacing Lampard with one of Lampards most hated players, one of our most hated players, a player who loves Arsenal and is probably only going to us because no one else wants him. There's no love in this relationship.

Let's not forget this Liverpool side cemented second place last season. Under Rodgers they have done incredibly well and they have a smell for it now and you can see them really pushing on for the bigger and better players. Liverpool is a far more exciting project now than say Manchester United despite Van Gaal. I've been reading Liverpool forums and they are convinced that Lucas Leiva is going, so in would sit Cesc……hypothetical and all that but he could join worse teams than Liverpool.

I'm sticking to my guns here and still believe Liverpool won't even make the top 4 next season. I think they'll find it much more difficult next season when teams know what to expect and how to play against them.

That and they'll actually be forced to rotate their squad and they don't have nearly the strength in depth that the rest of the top 4 or even United will have. I think they're in a direct fight for that 4th spot with United. Think 3rd will be their ceiling.

although it cant be ruled out, given the stature of playing we are talking about... ian ladyman and daniel taylor of the guardian said few days back count man city out, not in the running at all... can easily change though
