Its hardly going to dramatically enhance their transfer options is it?
calculatingInfinity 1,472
Doubt the reason has much to do with Arsenal getting money, as much as it has with Chelsea negotiating the best possible deal for themselves. 5 mil pounds is still quite a bit, at least in FFP times for Chelsea that could be used elsewhere. It'll just go into the Arse bank vault never to be seen again or squandered on some unknown French kid.

Popular Post! DavidEU 2,023 Posted June 12, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 12, 2014 Genuine question - do odds mean anything?Generally, not massively. As I said a few days ago when United odds dropped dramatically. A big change normally happens when someone places on a huge bet on something (perhaps based on inside information, perhaps based on rumour) and the bookies change their odds to avoid loosing a lot of money. The bookies haven't particularly got inside information themselves, though SkyBet must be based on Skys 50/50 credible sources. As someone else said yesterday, odds were suspended on Harry Redknapp getting the Chelsea job in 2011 before AVB. So clearly, often wrong.BUT, 1/4 to 1/100 in the space of a few hours is oddly dramatic. Madmax, xPetrCechx, Strike and 3 others
The Rising Sun 711
Odds of 1.01 means it is no longer just dictated by a big bet now and then.It has to be insider information.Odds are simply too low for market bets to be a factor anymore. Its happening.
