Kurt Zouma

I have NEVER seen an athlete run or even walk after an ACL tear. Zouma did not tear his ACL. I've seen athletes suffer that, hell, I've seen my friend tear his.

this happens all the time. with a complete tear the tension is off the ligament and the pain can be very low. however a partial tear where there still is tension on the damaged ligmanet can be very painful.

Selling Luiz for 50m and then replacing him with Zouma. You got to give credit for Jose, it was simply brilliant.

Why?! Because Jose said yes to an astronomical offer from the nouveau riche psg? Even folks, like me, who appreciated Luiz play would have said yes to that...

Btw Luiz was a lot better than zouma in midfield. In defense, neither played under Jose.

The way he trusted a kid as a 3rd choice CB. I could see Jose used the money to buy another experienced CB by that time and loan Zouma to another club because he is not ready yet, and I might think it was 'normal'. So, credit to Jose for his decision.

Massimo Ferrero, #Sampdoria president: "I'm in talks with #Chelsea for Kurt #Zouma. He's our main target for defense"

Surely a loan.. but can it really be an option? if he's telling the truth about 'talks' than we didnt refused it yet.

Chelsea response -

You'd think so, but the 'in talks' part does disclose a lot more. I would say a 6-month loan at best, but there's no need at all. Cahill & Zouma could have a great season trying to fight for their place, Terry could even be drawn into that.

Don't think it means anything as long it's just him saying it since he has all the incentive to. Coming out with "we put a proposal but are yet to hear back" doesn't sound very good to supporters.

I think our 3 CBs can be questionable in some way. Terry is great but can he really play a full season again? is Mourinho really happy with Cahill as a 1st CB? and Mourinho thinks Zouma is ready?

I think there's no certain answer for either of those questions. Another CB looking like something we might need.

Yeah that's a good point too. With the amount Zouma has featured this season, it would be unconscionable to then send him out on loan.. Almost one step forward, 2 back.

Yeah I agree, that's why Zouma being shipped out would be more of a mystery. Bare in mind though, Mourinho has counted Ivanovic as CB before so in his mind he has 4 players fighting for 2 positions (albeit, one of them is playing anyway).

It would amaze me if we didn't sign a single CB this season.

Agree a loan for him would be a backward step.
