didierforever 7,349
To be fair Senegal are right up there with Shrewsbury as one of the world's best football teams. Mo can't do it all by himselfstop hating him. he is the egyptian messi. he just needs to be loaned out and then he will turn into superman and save us from relegation on his own accord!!! BlueLyon 9,359
I dont get why the hell we have 20-23 years old 5th choice AM, who needs playtime more than anything else and when he actualy comes in play, he cant offer almost nothing because he has no form, no play time and no experience or whatsoever. I understand if there was youth project and Salah (or whoever) was part of future, but I dont see Salah anywhere near first 11. We will probably buy 5 more AMs if required before giving Salah a real chance. Neither is he homegrown to fill that quota.I must say, I have nothing against Salah, but its plain waste of his potential and space in squad to have him here. An experienced, 30 years old proven AM who is ready to get a game once in a month would be better choice in those games, because he has experience how to act. Not to mention such player can help defence and attack better in crucial game, rather than someone like Salah who wouldnt even know what to do in those situations. Popular Post! Sheva. 5,373 Posted November 15, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted November 15, 2014 I don't know why people are treating him like some POS player, this is obviously a player with some talent. He scored against Chelsea 3 times (?) in 2 seasons, he also has good performances/goals on his record against the likes of Spurs and Arsenal.I think if he leaves Chelsea, he will prove himself elsewhere like KDB. It's just more difficult for young players who don't play regularly to step in and perform, and atm his confidence level is probably at its lowest point. Popular Post! Tomo 21,751 Posted November 15, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted November 15, 2014 I don t understand the stick he gets.Last season when he got a run of games he was pretty decent (and for the sudden Moses lovers out there, he was not getting any play time for Liverpool due to beyond dreadful performance) not amazing level but enough to suggest he could be a good squad player here. This season he has made carling cup starts and a few sub apps here and there, while he hasn't been great it's hardly a big sample size is it?Check out the Bosingwa, Torres, Marin and Turnbull threads, when I believe a player deserves criticism I'm one of the harshest on here I really don't hold back, I just don't believe Salah deserves as much stick as he gets. stroey, TacticalBlues, Bosnian Blue and 3 others

Cahill almost always scored against us but no one would argue he was chelsea quality. Same with Robbie keane and countless other. Also, I bet if you see the reaction at the time, we never played particularly well against Basel during these times. didierforever

I think he could be a decent enough super sub here, but we already have Schurrle coming off the bench every game, so Salah is restricted to playing once every month. It's just not fair on him, when he still has aspects of his game to work and develop. IMO.

Sheva. 5,373
Btw i've seen Moses' name on this thread a few time, let's not forget Moses was shit under similar circumstances at Liverpool. Now look at him for Stoke where he feels important again and is playing regularly. That part doesn't sound right at all. It's pretty straightforward, at least say why it doesn't sound right. RoyalBlues 4,050
Agree that scoring against us, should not be a measurement for us to sign one player. But actually Salah was very good back then. I quoted this from wiki'He won the Swiss Super League in his first season with Basel, and was awarded the CAF Most Promising African Talent of the Year in 2012. In 2013, he was awarded the SAFP Golden Player award for being the best player in the Swiss Super League'Someone will said 'it is only Swiss league ffs', okay, but you must be something to be awarded CAF most promising african talent, not only because he scored against us. lito and stroey

illmatic 901
Salah not came here for only scores a goal against us. He had very very good level in Europa League 2013. Was one of the main culprit that Basel arrive to the semifinals. I remember so much his round Against the Spurs... was unstoppable. He has not done what was expected of him? Yes, but anyone who say that he came here for only scores against us, is because not seen him before. RoyalBlues and Mustafa
