Behemoth 266
Top player. I was a fan even during his Werder Bremen years. Will definitely make Arsenal better, but they had other needs that went unaddressed, as usual.
kellzfresh 7,229
He's not overrated in my opinion, but he doesn't make arsenal title contenders. It just makes them a stronger fighter for the top four. Once any of kocelny, giroud and scheczny gets injured, they're screwed...
ZanSnake 1,211
Another player to really make the attacking midfeild stronger, but they still need another striker if they really wanted to contend - good ol' Jose denying them
Zinedine Iniesco 172
Ozil is the first step to something great for arsenal but they will need changes around the whole place to become a truly top class side. Its the move Arsenal needed to get the nails off of their coffin. yuvala 2,167
Top player, great for them. Not enough to make them a top class team, yet. But that's the right way..
Ollie 4,400
He's a very good player but £42.4m is more than desperate. Arsene felt the pressure and lost it. They don't need this type of player. Ozil alone isn't going to save them. If they had got Ozil and Khendira for say.... £75m, then i'd say they'll be a lot better. Ozil isn't gonna help their defence....
Tomo 21,751
I know some have said Ozil wasn't exactly what was needed, but sometimes when players are available you just have to snap them up, even if they aren't an urgent need, because you won't have another chance.Take Robin Van Persie for example, United's strong position was forward but another world class forward was available and they could not let that chance slide. Chelsea with Oscar too, another number 10 wasn't an urgent concern compared to say the pivot and the strike position, but Oscar at the time was (and still is) a extremely talented young player and us not getting him means Spurs would have, so we got him. It's the same now with Arsenal and Ozil, regardless if it was a position Arsenal needed to strengthen the most, Ozil is a world class player who is going to improve Arsenal massively and Mourinho knows that, which is why he blocked the Demba Ba move when he found out Ozil was going there. This move imo has made the top 4 places ours, Manchester clubs and Arsenal's to lose, despite Tottenham's fantastic window. communicate 2,703
Rather have him choose arsenal than united . Imagine him behind RVP , uh.Probably the biggest reason why I like this signing other than I always excited to see a really good player perform in different league. CHOULO19 24,332
I am relatively happy Arsenal signed Ozil actually!Same here. Even if he's going to a rival, I'm delighted to have a player like him in the EPL. Plus he's exactly what united need (besides a good CM) so I'm very glad he chose Arsenal over them
