xPetrCechx 13,571
ChelsTransferGossip @ChelsTransferOn Tuesday, a summit in London is expected between the entourage of Eto'o & various PL clubs that want him (via @dimarzio) #CFC #MUFC #THFC
Duppy Conqueror 1,537
At the right price.I'd want him,and no I'm not talking about transfer fee.Ballack was a "free transfer" but one of our most expensive. We aren't being realistic when we talk about target's like they have to be at their peak when we sign then. Young players on the rise and older ones past their peak can still do a job for us. I'd like to have him in our rotation,I hope we Don't overpay to get him but it's down to the club to take care of that.We Don't have to offload first.maybe those words I keep seeing are not meant literally but the transfer market is not like buying groceries where you may empty the fridge before you buy more.you get what you want whenever you can and let go of what you don't want later if you have to. Pizy 18,918
If it comes to Eto'o or stick with who we've got I think we should pass on Eto'o. I just can't see why we're after ONLY a striker though. Wish we were as dead set on getting a CM as we appear to be a striker. If we bought someone like Witsel or De Rossi and no striker before the deadline I'd be elated.
Hutcho 8,443
Eto would be a temporary option. One that we see us through until lukaku is fully ready. We don't need a long term option.

We don't need a long term option.Eto'o is too much temporary, his football is still acceptable but we'll still need a striker in the next season. It may fix our problem this year in attack, but we'll still need to spend when Eto'o finish his contract, Lukaku needs a big striker to compete with him for first place, we cant only rely on Lukaku for the next five or six years that is why Rooney is a better option than Eto'o. ChelseaFanUK 1,014
Eto'o if he joins at say £5m, is good business. Providing his wages are dropped significantly. I'd bet good money he will be near the top of the scoring charts come May
ANDRECHO 432
he has 2 or 3 years to play a great level . Eto'o is world class ... rooney or Eto'o , any striker who really shot , shot , shot ....

You don't have to be 26 to be relied on. Of course he may not peak until then, but he can be a big time player for us before then. He may even have to be this year. The problem with Eto is the crazy wages.

meetdoscar 335
Meulensteen When asked if he could see such a deal going through he told Sky Sports News: I can see it happening.I mean I know Samuel is a bit older, coming to the end years of his career, and obviously the English Premier League throws completely different demands on you, different than hes been used to the last couple of years."But hes still a very, very good player and if hes surrounded by better players, if they can get him into scoring positions in the box hes still very, very, very good.
