Bosnian Blue 2,471
Drogba is better, was better and will always be better. Can't see any sense in this transfer. Probably the media trying to put 2 and 2 together, and getting 5.
Waterfall 893
Jose mentioned him when talking about the style of striker we are looking for. If he can be had for a small fee and he decides to take a pay cut, good option.
Reddish-Blue 2,506
I'd still take Eto'o over Torres and Ba as our starting striker. As for Drogba, I'm kinda glad he left the club because it was the perfect time to move on.
nadavTKL 1,787
Our favourite is on it now...@tancredipalmeri Chelsea through Mourinho have contacted again Eto'o@tancredipalmeri For those asking if Chelsea have given up on Rooney, window just works in this way: you play on several tables, and see what happensI hope he's right this time... Pizy 18,913
Would completely contradict our buying policy now. As I said on the last page, if we want a short term, highly experienced striker who won't be a long term investment we should really try to get Zlatan. I watched him yesterday in PSG's opener and he was still a class above everyone else on the pitch even at 32. Better than Cavani and better than any other mega rich player. He's STILL the best pure striker in the world. Edited August 10, 2013 by Pizy

Ollie 4,400
Eto'o at 32 is better than Torres at 27. Plus we only need to get him for 2 years. He's still a fantastic goal scorer but i'd say £15m max. Anymore they can f'off.

Ollie 4,400
In todays Football, £15m is like £500k. I reckon he's still really good but around £8m We're Chelsea, we're bound to pay more.

I think Rooney, Suarez, Lewandowski type of player is who we are looking at, and Rooney is our best chance

Amazing, £15 million for a washed up 32 year old demanding mega wages who usually starts out wide and doesn't solve our "striker" issue. They're both at their best when played as the #9 and we've seen repeatedly how useless Cavani is in any other position.
OneMoSalah 8,886
Maybe for 5-10m and then make the guy take a 250k wage cut. I remember Jose said he wanted to sign him years ago when he was still in charge the first time round so maybe he might have another shot at signing him for us. Who knows. Jype 6,398
Just to put things into perspective David Villa moved for less than £5m this summer and imo Eto'o should be valued around the same if he leaves Anzhi. Anzhi might even consider letting him go on a free transfer if they're really desperate about cutting expenses. His wages shouldn't be an issue because surely the man himself realizes he won't get that much anywhere else and his huge contract only has a year left anyway. Cut his wages in half but offer a two or three year deal with a decent signing on bonus and he already has a better contract overall than the one he has now. Sure, he could run out his contract at Anzhi and then negotiate something next year and maybe get more money than he would by agreeing a deal like the one described above but I can't see many top club wanting to snap him up at 33, especially if his current season turns to shit which wouldn't really be a suprise considering all the chaos surrounding Anzhi at the moment. Duppy Conqueror 1,537
probably cost too much in wages.I'd swap him for Torres any day,but shit like that only happens on fifa.hell,I'd buy Suarez on fifa because being a cunt mode Isn't in the game.
