No problem with being a little bit from left-wing, but dont come with all this anarchism and communism to save the world bullshit...

How come? :carlo: Anarchism and true communism are awesome ideas? Because they have never existed? That doesn't mean it won't at some point in the future. Socialism has though, and has been successful, an example is my country.

Before you label me anarchist or communist for that sake, I don't know what I am. Probably left-wing, but I embrace several right-wing policies too, occasionally. ;)

I mentioned it on the Pub earlier. I hate phones as well. I don't like people calling me and I call absolutely NO ONE.

I ignore about 30% of my calls every day without even seeing who is calling. I don't even bother. And then I ignore about more 20% seeing the caller.

I had a boyfriend that was obsessed with ponytails as well, so you're not the only one.

Women with ponytails are so sexy

@Stingray, you're a leftist?

If you are, remember not to discuss politics with you whenever we meet for a drink...

Lets say I am no communist nor an anarchist. I have always been independant politically during my UNI years.

But I do think solidarity is an important value. I also believe it is the strongest shoulders that need to carry the biggest weight in this world. If that makes me a leftie ... ok.

ps: This is not futile. I have my own business and I contribute a LOT. But I do that with pleasure. Also, I sponsor the education of a kid in Africa (Benin) - as a foster parent. She is the second one I do that with. So yes, I am proud of that.

that's pretty cool, sir @, so now, not only you have my fear but also my admiration (especially for being so young and interested in things like that). That's fascinating actually and something I've always wanted to learn.

As I can barely manage the modern English, I don't think I should give a try in the me old version, but that's definitely pretty cool.

It's a lot harder than people would give you credit for, actually. The differences between modern English and Middle English are ridiculously subtle. Very easy to make very simple mistakes, but of course even the slightest mistake can completely alter the context of a translation!

Wow, history nerds

Anyways, something about moi!

1. Love history (lol), especially the Habsburg Dynasty and The Holy Roman Empire. Reading, watching and playing loads of history related media.

2. I am a both extremely liberal and socialist. CAN'T CHOOSE.

3. Love evolutionary psychology (cheers Stingray mate)

4. I've met and talked to Oriol Romeu

5. Best book ever: 1984. Don't even try.

6. Exam tomorrow, economics, I fekkin' hate it!

7. I always play as Belgium/Flanders or England in Europa Universalis III. Great game.

8. I love darkish red. Sorry

9. My first time being drunk I ended up watching my friend having sex. LOL. #2manyBLACKOUTSdatnight

1 & 9 - been there, done that!

Surprised at the number of fellow history nerds here, awesome!

I am massively interested in renaissance period history & the Habsburgs, I am doing law at uni after my gap year but am hoping to study some history later on (I just finished history at A level).

I can swim, btw.

If you have the option to do some history modules as part of your Law course (many universities allow this), make sure you don't end up studying the Carolingians. The historiography is overwhelming.

As for swimming, I can drown with grace, if that counts?

I'll be in Ghent during most of the Gentse Feesten, maybe we should meet up^^

If I'm allowed though, last years 'Feesten reglement' stated no ppl from Sint-Niklaas and Holland allowed =(

Fuck I just realised its from 20-29 july .... I am in France then ....

Damned ...

I once co-owned a pub with my best friend in Ghent while working as an assistant at uni. I made it the philosophy faculty bar.

I did have a lot of one night stands then. I liked it as well.

@peppen : 9 can be cool .... depends if you are involved lmaooo

It was a hard life. Listening to the same drunk shit every night + kicking aggressive drunks out - I kinda liked that last part though :-) @alex would LOVE that part.

Well I actually remembered this post because working with kids I had my hair on a ponytail the whole day.

Good thing the hubby approves as well.

As for Eva... we share the appreciation ;)
