Kojo 4,676
Benitez didn't win the easy games, he's at fault for this.We used to win one then lose one then draw one, so much inconsistency and I knew it would come back to bite us and it has. Now the easisest game we have is Villa away, and since when do we ever win there? The man has ruined this season, well no not just him but the board, and It wouldn't surprise me if he bottles the Europa too! He bottled the club world cup so it wouldn't fucking surprise me if he bottled this aswell. We've been in 8 competitions this season and if we don't win anything then I'm going to class this season as the worst ever under Abramovich. CHOULO19 24,332
How does Suarez's bite excuse our school-boy defending? All the back four were just terrible, throughout the match. That's were the two points were dropped. This thread will only help deflect the blame from the real problems in our team.
Hutcho 8,443
No it didn't directly cost us top 4, but it didn't help things either. He should get at least 10 games, they won't give him a ban though... If he had taken a chunk out of his arm then maybe they would, but i can't see the FA doing it. The Skipper 20,609
Benitez didn't win the easy games, he's at fault for this. This is it. We should've been ahead of Arsenal and Spurs comfortably right now. Reading, Southampton and the QPR games is where we fucked up.

To say, the two points were dropped because of it only, is short sighted view. How about if the ref had done his fucking job properly & he was red carded, no score, then ? The incident was off the ball, the ref couldn't see it. I don't blame the ref for that, refs miss stuff in every game. And we shouldn't rely on someone doing something incredibly stupid and getting himself sent off to win games.

Special Juan 28,143
The cross should of been closed down and Luiz should of been tighter to him.Yes, Suarez should of been sent off but it was off the ball, the ref has one head, he was looking at play. Somehow in PL games it seems to be way off for months. How could the ref have seen that?!1) It was off the ball.2) There are 20 other players on the pitch to look out for.3) A bite is not exactly something a ref looks out for. He probably saw that there was a coming together between Iva and Suarez, but who in the world would have guessed: "Hey, maybe he bit him"?!4) It took 3 replays for us, the viewers, to actually see what happened and a couple of minutes to comprehend that he actually bit him!If you want to blame the ref for something, blame him for not blowing the whistle on time, or for not showing Shelvey or Sturridge red cards. But all that aside, if Luiz and Iva were "doing their job" and marking the only man in the box in the 97th minute, we would still have gotten the 3 points. How many times, have we seen the ref walking over to his lineman to consult the accident ? After all, Iva showed him the bite, then. Also, if you were bitten by some dog, wouldn´t you be a bit rattled by it ? As I said, to blame Chelsea´s defense only, I do not accept it. The officiating in PL is just one big joke for months.
