Suarez bites Ivanovic

How could the ref have seen that?!

1) It was off the ball.

2) There are 20 other players on the pitch to look out for.

3) A bite is not exactly something a ref looks out for. He probably saw that there was a coming together between Iva and Suarez, but who in the world would have guessed: "Hey, maybe he bit him"?!

4) It took 3 replays for us, the viewers, to actually see what happened and a couple of minutes to comprehend that he actually bit him!

If you want to blame the ref for something, blame him for not blowing the whistle on time, or for not showing Shelvey or Sturridge red cards. But all that aside, if Luiz and Iva were "doing their job" and marking the only man in the box in the 97th minute, we would still have gotten the 3 points.

How many times, have we seen the ref walking over to his lineman to consult the accident ? After all, Iva showed him the bite, then.

Also, if you were bitten by some dog, wouldn´t you be a bit rattled by it ?

As I said, to blame Chelsea´s defense only, I do not accept it. The officiating in PL is just one big joke for months.

Liverpool fine Luis Suarez for biting Branislav Ivanovic #SSN

Luis Suarez to be offered anger management counselling by the PFA #SSN

Anger management counselling? Like what the actual fuck. Who cares about this. They will do anything to not ban him, tossers.

What makes me more annoyed about what he did is when my seven year old son turns to me and says "Dad, why did he do that"

There really isn't an explanation to his actions, and kids watching that should not see it, this is where the FA need to act, and act accordingly. This bloke just keeps giving and giving all the wrong things.

He should also now be taken off the list for player of the year.

@ Special Juan

I totally agree with you. I'm supporting PSV Eindhoven as well and there he did it too. He bit Otman Bakkal in the neck (!) This man is crazy and needs to be banned from the fields.

we'd all love to see him banned for life. i think if this kind of behaviour was seen in a sunday league, a player would recieve and extremely lengthy ban. but because its suarez, a top class player whos not only representing football in the premier league, but has a global face, they wont take him out the game for too long even though they should.

has to beat least a 7+ match ban. it was unprovoked. In most attacks, like defoe Vs mascherano, Suarez biting that bloke on the neck, aguero studding luiz, hazard kicking a ball boy, there is a stimulus, a reason behind it. in this there was nothing, unless Ivanovic said something, he did nothing wrong so its just out of frustration and anger from suarez so the ban should be more and the rumoured anger management should be compulsary.
