CHOULO19 24,332
I think you're being a little unfair on Pirlo. Pirlo is great at finding spaces, its one of the main parts of his game.Imagine him right now in this team though? Would solve all of our DLP problems. He still is probably the best in his role atm, apart from someone like Xavi probably.Like said, I would take him in a heart beat, but I don't expect him to be as successful here as in the serie A. I don't think I'm being unfair, I'm a Juve fan, I love Pirlo, but I also know his style very well. For the record, Pirlo would never work in the double pivot. He doesn't have the defensive work rate for it. He also never runs, he just floats across the pitch
Santiago. 1,500
why is that? London's nightlife? That and the fact he liked our group of current players and system, paticularly Harris who always gave him a good round

LDN Blue 7,903
When Juventus got relegated, there was real potential to sign some of their stars. Marchisio, Ibrahimovic & Thuram were all available.
LDN Blue 7,903
Oh and Fabio Cannavaro of course.
Milan 17,963
Oh and Fabio Cannavaro of course.Oh dear, Cannavaro! Remember his performances during the 2006 World Cup? Drogba in the last Champions League campaign aside, it is definitely the best individual performance I have ever witnessed.

Of course that would've meant one of Carvalho/Terry would have been displaced, but he wouldn't have harmed us by any means.

BlueLyon 9,359
Dario Srna. Might solve our midfield issues but I doubt he would come now...
SinineUltra 1,170
Miroslav Klose would have been our answer for a proper striker. The German international of Polish decent is a natural CF and has succeeded everywhere with his prone eye for poaching and timing.

Kojo 4,676
Yaya Toure. perfect Essien replacementWhat and leave all our defenders exposed? He's lazy and arrogant, fantastic footballer yes, but not on Essiens level. Essien was a fantastic DM, used to work huge shifts, Toure doesn't run games. As for Toure never liked him, always came across as a prick, and most african players seem to come across as nice people who do a lot of charity work, despite Toure being probably the most paid african at the moment, i never see anything about him doing charity work. Though despite going a little off topic there, yeah i would have him here definitely, but he wouldn't be a perfect Essien replacement by any means. Also, like Essien, he's a big-game player. scored against Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, United, Real Madrid this season. mostly with runs from deep.also, remember his tussle with Drogba in the 09 UCL Semi? Matched Drogba to strength

He's had two games against us where he just couldn't be arsed, and we won both of them. He's a good footballer, not a good DM, him and Essien are different players.
