Fernando Torres

Silly comment. It's hard to "try" in the first team when you are sitting on the bench every game. He comes on and looks hungry for the ball. You cannot compare him to drogba because they play a different game. Torres plays of the last man and waits for that ball to be played through to him. Which is hard to recieve when you only get 10 minutes here and there.

That would be a valid excuse, but he doesnt make any runs to receive the ball. Watch him during the ten minutes he has, it was at walking pace, and the defenders did not have any trouble marking him.

This is not true in the slightest i think you need to watch him yourself a bit better. Can i ask, do you go to games?

No I do not. But I made it a specific note of watching him when he's playing, and I have to say the lack of workrate is really disappointing. Especially as I've been advocating for him to get a chance in the first team.

No one can say he doesn't work hard by watching him on TV. When at game you can see the posistions he tries to get himself into. This is the main reason he was so successful at liverpooll, was because of the fact that they played to his advantages. Which is something we need to start doing. Before he got sent off and he was starting every game, you could see how well him and Mata were playing together because Mata waited for his runs and gave the ball to him on a platter. Sure he would not take every chance but he started scoring more when those chances were given to him.

What you say is valid, but in many other matches that I do watch at home, he looks lively, making good off the ball runs, even frequently closing down defenders at full pace. I have not witnessed it in the Spurs game however.

Agree with you Steve I dont think that his work ethic the issue and some are just blinded by their bias! Interesting though watching the last game and Mata ( I know of topic) and his frustration at making the run and Danny not passing then compare a CF making run after run for the same result?

If Torres finishes his contract at Chelsea, he'll get 46.8 Million dollars in his bank account. That's not counting appearances bonus, etc.. That's 100M on Torres that Roman was willing to spend.

It's fair to say I'm absolutely disgusted.
