Fernando Torres

He's going nowhere. It's gonna be another season of:

'well he's shit'

*Torres scores one or two goals*

'He might not be shit'

Looks promising. Gets sent off/injured.

'Oh this guy can't catch a break, poor love.'

Comes back. Plays shit.

'Oh well, at least we have Costa back from suspension soon for kicking *insert player here* up the arse. (Creative licence used.)'

Meanwhile the Torres thread reaches over 1,000 pages.

here's a solution: just don't play him?

There's no news of him leaving because he simply won't give up his ridiculous wage demands. That's why Inter won't be coming for him either. Maybe he actually believes he can score again or maybe he just loves the money, either way he's still our problem for another 2 years.

For me the club should make it clear under no uncertain terms he has no future and if he excersises his right to see out his contract he will go the same way as Malouda.

Only hope is for one of those ultra rich Russian clubs like Anzhi Munchoncocka to come in and offer him a deal way too good to turn down Eto'o style.

If that was going to happen, it would have been last summer when he had just scored 20 or so goals, including a good one in Europa final.

Even those rich teams in small leagues, won't waste so much money on a lost cause like Torres.

Unlikely to happen because of the Financial Fair Play. Anzhi and other rich Russian clubs are already in trouble as it is.

the problem here is he's simply too expensive for the club to do that to. if he's here, he'll also be used because we're not stacked in talent in the striker department.

it's not his fault the club gave him a 5 year contract after all.

Considering inflation so was Winston Bogarde.

The only way we can move on is if he isn't playing.
