🇪🇸 Fernando Torres

Liverpool challenged in 2009 and he was the main reason for that. He's scored in the UCL Semi against us in 08 and Barca this year. He's scored in the Euro 2008 final, he's scored for Liverpool against Real Madrid... he's won the UCL, World Cup, Euro's, fuck me ...He's a big match player and today he was just unlucky. It's a pity Fabregas scored because Torres did more in 20 mins than Fabregas did in 70. Fabregas scored so Fabregas wins. Pity.

:D All of Torres club level trophies have been won in CFC

Pre-injury Torres, mentally was a different player than the one we have witnessed at CFC.

Carew scored a backheal to eliminate Real Madrid in the CL - Real Madrid have been clowns 10 seasons in a row in the CL

Cesc aint a striker, it's a DB problem not playing Llorente; not brining Adrian or Soldado. When Spain crush out DB will be the one under the knife. In the end Cesc was more effective than Torres up top but no doubts Spain had better options.

I remember when people like Cech were shouting like mad when Torres put back three in thy QPR net. Sh0n3x said it in one of his previous posts. He came on, did good, he had to put 'em. IF he plays more we will and should support him. Yes, Bosingwa was a nuisance and nobody liked him, but I bet you all supported him for the Final, hoping he and Kalou would make a miracle. Same happened with Anelka. You, I , everyone knows Torres is class, whether or not he shows it, it's our job to support him, because you receive nothing from Hating on him. Good luck on trying to understand my thoughts, but all I want to say is...KEEP CALM and Support Torres for the season!

There are basic facts in the torres deal here.

The truth of the matter is that chelsea don't lose anything by letting torres go. The club and the fans want to see torres shine because they dont want to see the operation as a failure, but the price tag and his history made it so before he stepped foot in chelsea football club.

No body will ever be all too satisfied with him. I think that the argument that ( chelsea are rich enough) chelsea should buy a guy like falcao or cavani, is a pretty sound one. They are in great form, and can probably bring in results, while torres brings nothing more than instability, doubt, and etc.

If i had a certain type of control where i could control things, i would let torres go, and bring in someone who i find capable enough of doing a good job. This torres thing is getting old.

I don't understand all the fuss, by the forum reaction you would think he missed two sitters for Chelsea in the Championship league. I couldn't give a shit what he does for Spain, and how many opportunities he misses.

It's not like I care for Spain (I was cheering for Italy) but isn't it pretty obvious why people care about poor performances from their own teams players? Especially with Torres who's one big question mark, seeing him keeping up missing big chances is not a good sign, at all.

You think that his games with spain don't have an impact for the season with chelsea?! come on!

Buffon played the first opportunity brilliantly, second one he should've passed to Navas. He should've done better, but once he came on Spain looked a lot more dangerous.

People wants to point out how he should've scored rightfully so, but also give him credit for his movement to be put in those opportunities.

Anyway Torres has for most his career sucked for Spain that is not news, Fernando Hierro has more goals then him and he was a CB. lol

No i don't think what a player does internationally has any correlation what he does for his club.

RVP had a horrid game last night, it changes nothing for him and what he does for Arsenal or whatever club he plays for next season.

I am not a Torres supporter by any mean, i would like to see him sold tbh. But i also hate knee jerking, most here are more venting their frustration over the past 15 months with Chelsea then looking at today's game objectively.

Torres should've scored, yes, but the worst part about this is he'll get all the press when RVP and Balotelli have bottled much better chances.

Add to that Iniesta, Silva and Huntelaar's doings and you've got a pretty good situation, but whatever. It's over. Hope he scores in the next one.

Buffon did do well. But he was only allowed to do well because of Fernandos bad touch. He came on when the match was really opening up and everyone were getting tired, managed to get through to some chances and still fuck up like he has been doing for 1 ½ year here, not sure how I can spin that positively. Saying Torres has always sucked for Spain is just wrong, bringing in Hierro (who was well known for his many many goals) won't change that.

People keeps defending Torres and attacking anyone who questions his performances, all while the forum uses any opportunity to jump on really any other player when they have a bad game.

Of course it doesn't. He has been class all season. Torres hasn't shown anything really for the last 1 ½ year.

You are completely discrediting him for the good he did in the 20minutes, and crediting the other team being tired and the game was already opening up. Yeah you are not being objective, the positive is he put himself in those opportunists and him being slated for the missed opportunity is fair.

Anyone who has followed the Spain NT knows, since VDB has taken over he hasn't performed even for his standard. He has never been the player he was for Alti Madrid and Liverpool. Fernando Hierro was a great player, but are you trying to tell me a striker with more more appearances shouldn't have more goals then a CB?

You keep bringing up the last 1 1/2 years that is a irrelevant to me, i have seen every Chelsea game i know how poor he has been. But we are discussing today's game.

I do agree the Torres fanboys on this forum are ridiculous.
