UCL Draw Thread

I prefer an easy draw to make a good start to the season in Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup.

We will be in the next round anyway, but I prefer an easy draw to reach February in the first position in Premier League and to be alive in all four trophies.

Chelsea - Bayer Leverkusen - Olympique Lyon - Malmo would be a perfect draw.

Bayer Leverkusen would be a difficult opponent. They almost knocked Atleti out last season and their pressing would cause us lots of problems. From pot 2 the easiest team would be Porto IMO but chances are we will get one of the Spanish teams.

POT 2 looking strong. I'd like to avoid Atletico and Real this soon in the season.
Would be interesting to see us against Roma, they have a solid team this season. All in all i would like a decent group for us, not too strong and not too weak so that the team doesn't get too complacent.

Would be really worried if we get Real Madrid. Those would be very tough matches. Leverkusen-Sevilla/Lyon-Borussia M would be nice to see if we have the potential to be a threat in the cup without making it really hard to get into the round of 16

I honestly would welcome Alti and real matchup. Last two seasons tactical blunders costed us in the CL, against PSG and Atletico. Rather make that blunder against thoes teams in the group stage then in the knockout stage. Better to be tested now and make a change if needed.

Champions League draw: Who can we get?

https://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/08/champions-league-draw--who-can-we-get-.html

Chelsea’s interest in the Champions League begins on Thursday when the draw for the group stage is made in Monaco. It is due to start at 4.45pm UK time.
A change in regulations means Pot 1 is now no longer filled with those eight teams with the highest UEFA coefficients. Instead, the competition holders and the seven champions from the top domestic leagues, coefficient-wise, make it up. They of course include Chelsea.
However, because Barcelona won both the Champions League and La Liga, the eighth spot in the top pot was opened up to the champions of Holland, PSV Eindhoven.
We cannot play either of those sides nor the other domestic champions we are joined in Pot 1 by, namely Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain and Zenit St Petersburg.

Rather get an easy draw now. We're going to be playing catch up in the league and getting out of the group stages in as straightforward a manner as possible is desirable. Besides, let's face it, with the squad as it is right now we're not going too far in the UCL anyway (not counting for ridiculous luck).
