MGuerreiro 252
Thanks, happy to be here.Have you ever been to Portugal? Do you usually watch Benfica?I go each year, we own a house in Vilamoura, Algarve. And no I'm afraid I haven't watched them enough this season, mostly just in the big games (vs. Sporting and Porto, and the CL). But I went to a game at Estádio da Luz vs. Braga a few years ago, the stadium is simply amazing, outshines the huuuge mall right next to it. But I have seen them enough to know not to underestimate them, Gaitan, Aimar, Witsel, Saviola, Cardozo. These are quality players.

Also Luisão, Garay, Javi, Maxi, Artur (it's been said that united has an eye on him)... There are also some young powers like Nelson Oliveira, the Silver Ball, Top Scorer and Vice Champion of the U20 World Cup, and Rodrigo, the kid that came from Real Madrid and that was on loan to Bolton last season. Great expectations in these 2 kids + Witsel and Gaitán.Saviola is just not the same anymore. He still is a very talented and experienced player but he doesn't have much more to offer in the pitch than Cardozo and the kids. Would say he is going to leave next summer. Hopefully Aimar holds up a few more seasons.

How awesome is that!

BenficaGlory 86
Halftime: Benfica 2-2 PortoWe started with the right foot, scoring at 4' by Maxi Pereira. After that Porto took control of the game and scored 1 lucky goal and another one offered by Benfica. Until 25'-30' Porto was in control. Then Benfica, after hitting the bar 3 times (!!!), scored the equalizer by Nolito right before halftime...None of the teams deserved to be winning, as they are both making a horrible match. But Benfica hit the bar 3 times and scored an own goal, if were a little bit lucky... Let's see what happens on the 2nd half. How's Matic doing at Benfica? I remember we gave him as part of the Luiz deal, has he settled well?I can't say a lot about him. Everytime he has been called up he did his work. Some of the Benfica fans don't like him, but I actually appreciate his thecnique. He is a reasonable reserve/bench player, I guess.... BenficaGlory 86
Benfica ended up winning 3-2 with a goal from Cardozo at the 2nd half.Any of you would like to awnser me some questions for SerBenfiquista.com?
