laura90 556
As for your assessment of our board, I think you're way off the mark. I think we have amassed some of the best talent who are just waiting for a guy to lead them to a sustained period of success. I think Hazard and Mata fit the team perfectly and that Oscar can take Lampard's position in the squad long-term.No I'm not.Yes, we have some great players. However, continued success isn't coming from talented players, it comes from having stability at a football club and implementing certain principle and sticking to it.That further helps in developing an identity, a system, necessary for long term success.Needless to say without having a coach that can last at least 2 seasons trying to develop an identity is essentially mission impossible. Finding the right one should be their priority . As I said before, they have bought a whole bunch of toys and are spending millions and months looking for master puppet to make their toys work. When they should have sat down with someone credible to discuss first and then put their players together. That won't helpthem in finding the right guy. We went from team by Ranieri and Mourinho, football brains who made almost every pound spent well spent, to team made by Bruce Buck, Ron Gourlay, Emanelo and Roman.Business men, not football people. Under new manager every year we will continue to evolve, devolve, mutate and metamorph in the years to come. One minute the players are adopting a new, attacking style of play then out of nowhere the manager gets sacked and we bring in a manager whose philosophy is to be compact and disciplined. We depend on the individual creativity of players which can be easily suffocated by a credible opposition coach. That can't continue much longer.Otherwise, we might often witness players disinterested and disoriented when things don't go our way. We will continue to struggle on a regular basis for as long as we lack stability. And that's exactly why I believe our club's structure and organization is bound to change as well as our manager. And I'm patiently waiting.

And I'm patiently waiting.I still think you're way off the mark with regards our board. Firstly, our squad is assembled by far more people than simply the four that you're apparently aware of. Secondly, if you look at the academy and reserves the identity and system of football is relatively uniform which has contributed to a decent amount of success in the youth teams. You don't seem to give the board any credit whatsoever for this. They've also amassed a shockingly large amount of young talent and secured a surprisingly high number of them high-profile, rewarding loans. That is invaluable. The one point I think you're correct about is the need for stability in the coach position. But I actually think they've identified the guy they want and are doing everything possible to secure him for next season.Plus NONE of our managers have been sacked out of nowhere. Each one knew it was coming and I actually don't think any of them have been that unfair. But clearly the board actually recognises most of the failings you have identified and have been trying to rectify them, but they've been unsuccessful thus far. Fulham Broadway 17,350
I want that fool that typed on this thread that rafadyce had excellent man management skills. Defend yourself now after that shit we saw yesterday, which was 100 times worse then whatever Tinkerman ever did. Fool probably doesn't even know who the Tinkerman was. I am so fuckin' pissed right nowAt least the tinkerman had dignity and humility, something not in Tubbys repertoire. It's always someone elses fault, (must be the scouse influence). His interviews are always evasive, he finds it impossible to pinpoint the problems or solutions and simply harps on about how we must work hard together and focus on the next game.God knows what the players must think, working with that every day.Yesterdays result though was simply disgusting, I've been angry at performances, results, players in the past. But can't think of a time when one has actually left me feeling sick.

TorontoChelsea 4,064
I would rather have Arry or AVB right now, but would draw the line at GrantI would take Grant over Rafa. He's a useless fat guy in a suite, but he's not a useless fat guy in a suite who Liverpool supporters drool over. I think we should actually just hire an actor to pretend to be manager for the rest of the year. Some suggestions...David Attenborough-He'd be useless, but at the press conferences, he could explain the grazing patterns of our striker so we'd understand why he wandered off to the wings and stood there. "the Torres is frightened by the ball so its natural inclination is to run away from it" and so on...Sacha Baron Cohen- He could create a character...maybe like a fat Spanish waiter or something.Mila Kunis/Kate Upton...etc...-Do I really have to explain this one?So many possibilities... GermanBlue 82
Pretty interesting opinion about Benitez, definitely worth reading:"Since he arrived there were 4 games which Chelsea fans didn’t want to lose. They were West Ham away, the Club World Cup Final, Leeds in the league cup & QPR at home. Benitez has lost 3 of those 4 games."[...]"When at Liverpool, Chelsea fans used to joke about Benitez as he would win the big games such as Chelsea at home or United away, and then lose or draw the gimmes against sides like Stoke or Wolves at home, which effectively cost Liverpool the title. Now he’s doing the same at Chelsea."http://www.ibtimes.com/sportsnet/chelsea-fc-news-qpr-loss-shows-why-rafa-benitez-cant-be-permanent-boss-991060

Jype 6,398
I simply have no words to describe the anger I feel towards Benitez now. Okay, I understand benching Ba because we have some important games coming up, but what I don't understand at all is WHY THE FUCK DID HE KEEP HIM ON THE BENCH ALL THE WAY TILL THE 80TH MINUTE? Hard to make an impact in less than ten minutes but Ba still managed to do more in his first five minutes on the pitch than Torres did in 80 and in the whole ten minutes of play Ba had two good headers and a goal which might or might not have been offside. I don't even want to imagine what he could have done given 30 or maybe even 45 minutes, but let me tell you that the game sure as hell would not have finished 0-2.If Benitez is incapable of reacting early enough to have an impact on the run of play, then I ask what in the name of fuck is he actually doing ? He does not shout instructions from the touchline, he does not do substitutions (especially Torres, his rentboy) and from what I gather he does sweet fuck all at half time too. Just sack the cunt already, Steve Holland can take over for the rest of the season if Guardiola won't come. Can't do any worse, can he?

Changingman_2000 876
He has to go, this is just shocking. To give Torres 80 minutes is just pathetic, absolutely pathetic. Royally pissed off by this tonight. The buck stops with that shambolic excuse of a manager. I wonder why he wasn't employed for two years after fucking up Jose's Inter. Pathetic
Bosnian Blue 2,471
Just realized we haven't scored in four of our home matches under the guidance of The Tactician. Those games were: Man City, Fulham, QPR and Swansea.Last year with a much weaker team in the same fixtures we've scored 13 goals.
