Wavy Crockett 190
The current side is in a transitional phase. You cannot speed up change, Guardiola would have problems too with our team as they are just adjusting as would Mourinho. Basically whoever manages us for the next 2,3 or even 4 years be it Robbie or whoever else will know its going to be a phase were they the teams adjusting to the philosophy that's being instilled in the club. AVB was right with what he said when he was just appointed, the team is a long term project, it will take time.good point, and most of the players probably need more playing time with each other still. if we dont make too many changes to the squad we should be in a great position ahead of next season
Kez 2,727
Let's be honest.. There's no need for this thread. Why can't we just get behind the manager 100% for at least a full season why do we need to discuss the possibility of other managers? We're not exactly struggling right now are we? Reddish-Blue 2,506
Not entirely convinced about RDM just yet. If he can get our shaky defence sorted out, then keep him as the manager for the long term.Would be awesome to see the Special one back at Chelsea at some point in the future. BlueLion. 21,491
I think Robbie is the right man for the job. Jamie Redknapp was spot on when he called RDM a "good manager, but more importantly he is a lucky manager". Being a lucky manager is not a bad thing - Rafa Benitez is a lucky manager, to some extent so are many of the best coaches in European football. RDM is not the most tactically-astute of managers but it is clear he is able to motivate his squad successfully, and in fairness, the changes he has made recently to both the starting elevens and our substitutes have won us games. He is the man to stick by.

BlueLyon 9,359
Some people thinking if Pep or Mou comes, we will be winning everything from beggining is funny. Every team needs some time.

Fhaarkas 39
To be honest I like Robbie D better than Mourinho (the guy's a merc.. top class, lovable merc but a merc nonetheless) and I wouldn't want to see Chelsea players get turned into a bunch of divers so yeah. Rambo 1,729
RDM deserves a lot more respect and should be given the opportunity to work with this squad over a 2 year period. He understands the culture of the club and is a great motivator. The way the players fight for him is inspiring and nice to see for a Chelsea fan.
