Easier for us to say perhaps than it is for Charlay to do. In order to sell Conte, or whoever, the idea that he's good enough, Charlay has to actually be good enough and that is the hard part of course.

A blind man can see that he is a better player than Oscar, both play at the same position. Easy choice.

If you see that Van Gaal gives decent chances to McNair, Lingard, Rashford and Borthwick. And if you see the chances that Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Ben Davies get at Tottenham. I hope something similar can happen here next season. We have the best youth squad of them all for Christ's sake!

Van Gaal has no choice with all the injuries really. The Tottenham players are just crazy good.

Blind men perhaps but at least two sighted ones have ignored Charlay and selected Oscar. Be that as it may because what has it got to do with anything anyway? Charlay is also better than me but does that make him good enough for the new manager's squad? To earn a place in the squad next season, Charlay, and everyone else come to that , has to persuade the person who is going to select the squad that they deserve to be in it. You're a formidable debater if you can find a flaw in that proposition.

Wilmots is going to be attending the Betis game tonight. He wants to find out what position Charlie is played and which tasks the manager actually gave him. I hope to see him in the NT squad after Euro 2016... Much better option for the future compared to the likes of Mirallas, Chadli and a bunch of others... None of them are going to be regular starters in the next few years, so might as well integrate Charlie. We're so lucky these days...

Started his first game wide right but has been stationed wide left since. Against Depor he was asked to hug that touchline, or that's what he did at any rate, but in the two subsequent games Charlay has had more license to roam. I thought his last outing was Charlay's best by far so I'm really looking forward to tonight's game.

Same here. I just wanted to say it's a very good thing he's already personally scouting him. He needs to be a NT regular in 2 years as far as I'm concerned. Just too talented and versatile, and he could learn from the best there.

Wonderful assist for Charlay.

Receiving the ball with his back to a defender, Charlay dummies to go left but moves right, turning his man in the process. His defender does well however and recovers to face up again only for Charlay to dribble past him and deliver a cross into box which was put away.

He's doing well and Betis lead 2-0.

Brilliant run now from inside his own box to about 30 yards out where it broke down because Charlay passed for an inside run but the wide man held for the ball to feet.

The Betis fans love him They are up each time he touches the ball.

Wilmots may not have expected to see so good a display.
