Honestly would have kept this lad back and used him in the squad or first team sporadically. A loan spell is great n all, but he is by far one of the best technical players we have at the club.

Too much competition currently on the wings for him here. Betis are basically worshipping him. Starts every game, takes free kicks, pens if he wants em, got #7 shirt. He's in a good situation to develop.

Wow... Teams are ready to splash 15m for a kid that has never played professional football and yet we manage to give him 0% chances ? What the hell ? And the worst thing is that next year we will buy

It's a shame. We're talking about a group of players who aren't just rated by biased Chelsea fans this time, but players rated highly across Europe. Christensen, Loftus-Cheek, Solanke, that's the spin

I watched the entire match because football just isn't Mikel/Matic in the middle he was unreal which is staggering considering this was his professional debut. He started out at the right wing and alt

Playing for Betis vs Barcelona later (at Barcelona I think) so should be interesting to see how he performs. Looking forward to following his progress this season; really hoping for big things from him so he can return with Christensen next season and secure a starting place in the team.

I know it's early in the season, but I thought a starting role was almost a cert according to several around here?

Sometimes must be going on. He started every game if he was available last season so there was no reason to suspect anything less this season. It's still early, let's hope it's nothing and he's back starting soon.

Musonda probably had his best game of the season against Granada (without a goal or assist though). At the moment all of his appearances has come of the bench, but he's most of the time the first player to be subbed in. Betis went down 0-2 early against Granada, and Poyet intervened with bringing in Musonda at around 35 minutes in. Things are looking good now for his future prospects, and i wouldn't be surprised if Poyet will give him increasing trust as a starter in the upcoming games. He still lacks end product imo, but against Granada he was unlucky to get a couple assists.

In other news: It looks like Boga is going backwards and Andreas Pereira is taking his spot atm :(

8 minutes ago, It's too big said:

He apparently waited for 20 mins after the game vs Real Madrid to meet Ronaldo. It was his birthday too. It's a crying shame Poyet isn't playing him for whatever reason.

Damn, players like Ronaldo must have such miserable lives.. Everyone wants a photo, a hug, everyone stops you to talk, this must be hard to handle.

I can really see him flourishing in the role of playing as the second roaming attacking midfielder alongside Hazard in our current formation. Really hope he is given a shot here next season.
