This angbwa looks and sounds terrible....

Well Wayne Rooney looks awful, like very ugly, so does Ribery, doesn't mean there bad players.

And when i first heard Shittu i thought surely he must be in the conference, but i was wrong, he was in the premier league. So that goes to confirm a sound of a player doesn't determine anything.

According to La Provence, Chelsea's first offer is 4m€ with bonuses to reach 7m€. £3.14m to £5.4m

What a bunch of twats if that's true, pays Salomon Kalou £4m a year for several seasons running and cannot offer more than three and a half peanut for each player...

Otherwise RMC announced the agreement would be made today for a 9.5m€ fee with bonuses (£7,46m). Considering Marseille signed Azpi for 7m€ (£5.4m) IIRW

Reports in the french press aren't as encouraging, several papers (probably the same source though) seems to mean there has been one or several offers not reaching Marseille's expectations. But to be honest their infos aren't based on facts or quotes, just pieces of information in short news...

According to them the deal is set to be done in the near future (early next week).

That's the local paper, they are more precise on their local teams but aren't credible at all reaching a certain stage where they speak about things outside the region. In fact there's several reports, on La Provence there's 3 articles from 3 successive days, considering all medias copy each other you've the same information mixed even not at the same time. The conclusion is that our offer isn't enough, according to today's paper (generally you barely have the articles of the day on the web, you've to wait some days)

Ok, thanks for infos. But why do we stall with this transfer, I seriously do not get it. Give Marseille a few millions extra, they are not asking for some enormous amount of money and besides they are a big club that is in financial difficulties at the moment, plus they gave us Didier. :D We need to sort this out, get it done as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, the Blues have apparently had a bid for Marseille right-back Azpilicueta rejected.

Stamford Bridge officials were optimistic they were close to agreeing a deal for the 22-year-old, but their offer of an initial £3.1million plus the possibility of a further £2.4million in performance-related bonuses was turned down, reports La Provence.

Marseille value the Spain Under-21s international at £8million and are prepared to hold out for a bid much closer to their asking price.
