I think our league season will go a bit like United's in 2005/2006, slow start, average middle, strong end, leaving us in a strong position to push on and challenge for the title in 2013/2014.

As far as the cup's go we will always be in with a shout of that one while our rivals keep underplaying the competition, suits me i'd happily pick that cup up every year. If were incredibly lucky maybe retain the CL but i personally think that one is heading to The Bernabeu. But the WCC should be a priority, we don't get a chance to call ourself's World Champions every season.

I'll be happy with the Supercup, the World Club championship, top 4 finish and a decent defense of our Champions League trophy.

Although I believe we can challenge for the Premier League, the season is long and we'll surely improve our level of play.

I wont be happy if this isn't a good season, people who say we will win the league are just stupid.

Even if we completely overhauled the squad we couldn't, you expect the team to just learn how to be able to play together just like that?. We are playing in a league with two teams at full strength, we aren't going to have exceptions this season lads. Maybe we could pull it off in Serie A where things aren't looking so lively (no disrespect to Juventus of course).

But the reason why i wont be happy if this isn't a good season is mainly because, if we don't buy any players for double pivot then this will be a season where some of our attacking players can't play together (which is exceptional as it will take time), but we will have defensive issues, HUGE ones!. And this hasn't been replaced. Mark my words we will have huge issues if we don't buy any players who can play deep, especially a DM.

I am glad we are getting a right back though (well seeming to get one if that).

My expectations, i think we will just make top 4, and that's been optimistic. I'm sorry but i expect nothing with Mikel in the midfield, Lampard will not play double pivot for the rest of his career either, he's attacking orientated and Mikel is just not good enough. But maybe i'm being silly as we still have time to sign players, please Chelsea board at least bring in 3-4 new players, and not just attackers.

We have to be realistic! Manchester City are still going to be a tough team to beat! we have made some real quality signings but we have to wait for them to settle and gel properly we need a good fast start to the season and try not to dip over christmas period as we have done for years!!!

The community shield will be the perfect catylyst for a good start! Beat the champions to get confidence flowing through the veins :

My predictions for the coming season,

Community Shield: Lose

Super cup: Winners

Club World Championships:Winners

Premier League: 2nd Behind Man City

Fa Cup: Runners Up

Champions League: Quarter Finals

Capital One Cup: Semi Finals

Hope im proven wrong with the League and Champions League but thats my opinion!

I wonder now we have finally won it, if getting knocked out of the Champions League will feel different in the coming season's?

When we got knocked out in the past, it was complete and utter heartbreak, the chance to get that elusive title and find the holy grail gone, wonder how it feel now we have done it.

We can definitely feel way more relaxed, as the talk 'this year our last chance' etc. is surely gone. No pressure for the 'old guard'. Anyway, they will still regard it really high, no doubt. But it is way better to be under pressure because of the possibility to be the first team to retain the trophy, and not to be still the team that has never won it.

My expectations are simple and realistic imo.

  • Win FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup
  • Finish in top 4 in the league
  • Advance past Champions League group stage
  • See improvement in performances by the end of the season
  • Robbie to do well and avoid the sack in mid-season

1. Win at least 2-3 of the cup competitions we're in this season.

2. Finish in the Top 3 in the league and this is a must!

Can't see us winning the title again just yet. This season, it's all about building the foundation to challenge consistently for the league and other competitions in the future.

- Setting a positive tone for a future mind development, i.e. playing young players as much as possible (if we sit comfortable in a game, cup competitions, group stages)

- Robbie being manager for the 2013/14 season

- Torres starting to get more goals, better football in the middle of the park, more spark in our game in general

Trophy wise i really don´t know. I guess the Euro/World Cup Super blabla competitions should be managable.

Securing Champions League for the following season, a good cup run, CL Semis, and I´d be delighted.

And yes, and start winning games against the other big four again, ffs.

What I would like to happen and what I hope for:

- Top 3 finish in the league

- Champions League semi-finals

- FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup

What I think will happen:

- Top 4 finish in the league

- Champions League quarter-finals

- Community Shield

I'm not optimistic at all about this season tbh.

The biggest priority whilst our new team overhaul is being established and learning to play with each other is to ensure we get top 4... Without it we will face what would have happened this year in unable to sign high profile players and less money etc, and once you are out of it it is even harder to get back in... So unless we were to win the champions league (again  ), If we don't get top 4 then the season will be extremely bad no matter how many other cups we win... Though i am feeling optimistic that we can be in a very good top 4 position by march next year and have a good run at the fa cup and champions league...
