... i really don't understand why people like or think we'll end up with Jovetic.

I highly doubt the club want a support-striker (winger if needed; even attacking midfield) player with a history of terrible injuries and can rarely put away headers to lead our front-line.

He's not exactly prolific, doesn't have a great work-rate, is inconsistent and blah blah blah.

I want Drogba :(

I really wish David Villa wasn't 30. Apparently Messi went off at Villa during the game against Granada, I'm sure it's nothing but the media sure is mlking this situation. Apparently Messi does lambast a lot of his team mates, especially the younger ones.

Walcott on SSN saying he may be leaving arsenal because he wants to play as a stirker instead of on the wing.

anyone see him as a useful striker? i personally see Sturridge as a better player than walcott but they are both very similar, but with sturridge looking like he may not even be a chelsea player after january (and if not january, his contract expires this year and i dont see him renewing it unless he gets some serious game time) it could be a good replacement?

leaving the rivalry out of it; what are your thoughts?

Looking at this picture shows, how much we really need a new striker. Look at the alternatives if Torres & Sturridge get injured. Very worrying.

Lukaku can be recalled if the situation is extremely difficult. This decision (the whole Torres and new striker thing) is to be made next summer, not in January. It would be the most sensible and the wisest way of dealing with it. No need to make another panic buy and overpay certain players. I think this team can make it to top 4 even without strikers, that's how good I think we are.
