TacticalBlues 2,817
I think we're just looking for excuses in the wrong places and blaming these 2 oversights allows people to have someone else to blame instead of looking at the team. You can't really compare it with the ball boy incident, I mean Luiz didn't even make a deal out of it because he didn't know what happened. No other players saw it properly, only the TV cameras did. This thread is unnecessary. Oh yes the thread is wholly unnecessary but my point is that was the referee's mistakes can't be taken away from. That Aguero tackle was HORRIFIC and the referee, regardless of what other's think or see, made a mistake. It's frustrating now because the result won't change even if punishments are handed out, so I couldn't really care less about that.

In real time, nobody saw how bad it was. It actually looked unintentional. It was only after watching the replays that you could see it for what it really was. The Torres non-call was much worse because it was obvious even in real time.
CHOULO19 24,332
I don't get it, how was he supposed to see Kompany's shirt pull? Kompany was very smartly doing it from the front and the ref was naturally behind. As for the Aguero challenge, only the line man could see that and he just didn't have the guts to call it. In both cases I think Foy is blameless. We're just looking for excuses..
Azpinator 2,325
We're just looking for excuses.. Oh well, linesman messed up our game so we'll just say "nah, it's fine, the team sucks either way"? Each decision counts in a big semi-final. The decisions affected us only during the game... many clear fouls were ignored by Foy so I don't think he's blameless at all. Fulham Broadway 17,333
No action to be taken against Aguero -because Foy saw part of the incident.Fucking stupid. So if a ref saw one foot of a player graze a players head on the ground and awarded a free kick, but didnt see the follow up deliberate boot to the head that fractured a players skull -no retrospective action would be taken. The FA at its best as usual
Liquidator 5,176
shit happens. We deserved to lose anyway. Man City were probably kicking themselves for not putting the game out of sight by half time and it should have been. We didn't deserve to win. Bosnian Blue 2,471
We need some players like Drogba and Ballack. Those were the guys who everyone, inclunding the refs, feared. We're too good sometimes, much like Arsenal in the past few years. Its ok to be nice like Mata, but you also have to show some balls. Afterall, football is no ballet, its a contact sport. This is one of the reasons for the treatment we had from refs this season.

Nobody seems to be capable of stepping up and doing some trash talk or shouting at the ref or opponents making a psychological statement. You remember Terry coming on vs Stoke and immediatly taking on one of their players? That's leaders' stuff.

We have players capable of having a presence; guys like Ivanovic, Ramires and Cech are all capable of being those fearful players. I support Rafa's decision to leave out Terry & Lampard, in the long-term it's beneficial for the new leaders for this team to emerge. Like one of those big fuckers you have to fight in Uncharted 3. He looks even bigger at pitch side.My point is the FA rules that seeing part of an incident precludes from retrospectively taking any action against an offender is straight out of the Manual for Shitcunts

Football is a game of 90 minutes. I agree, we were totally shit in the first half but what about thre rest of the game? Dayum mate, we were all over them, If we had a plenty and a city sent off, we would of been celebrating and noone would of even posted bout the first half. Let suppose we had same shit second half, still that doesn't mean if we had the penalty and won, we didn't deserved that, Sorry but I don't understand how could anyone say we didn't deserve to win? Did someone say that when we won the UCL? Nooo, NOONE.FOY fucking robbed us.PERIOD

Until then we were trying to hit them on the counter attack and just lumping it over the top to Ba and it only worked when he scored that 1 goal. If we did have another shit half like the first one we wouldn't have been in a position to get a penalty because most of the time the ball was somewhere around our own penalty area. Its easy to say we didn't deserve to win because we were not the better team. We were the better team for 25 minutes of the second half granted but City were better for longer- 65 minutes to be precise. Like I have said, they should have had the game wrapped up by half time and would have had it not been for Kompany's poor finishing, the final ball being poor and great saves from Ivanovic and Cech. Statistically we were worse than them too:Possession: 44% 56%Shots: 9 11On target: 4 7#sorry2belikedatman#cut4choulo

True, but usually those kinds of players I mentioned are not only fearful, but leaders too. Nowadays I believe we've got Terry, Ivanovic and at times Luiz. There is a difference in what Mikel, Torres and Ramires do and the ones I've mentioned. Cech is a goalie, his presence is not that important, he can't affect some situations from the box (if you ever played football you'd know this).New leaders are needed, this is something I definitely agree on and with it will the whole team man up. Fulham Broadway 17,333
If it had been JT or any of ours with a two footed lunge on the back of a player it would be on National News and a permanent SKy loop and a definite ban, retrofuckingspective or not, regardless of whether the referee had seen it

Look at his position on the pitch when Komany had that chunk of his shirt. The fact is, we shouldn't be saying that one decision cost us the game, when that decision had to come all the way in injury time. We should've created chances long before that, and we didn't do it. They had there chances mayne and they blowed them like Beliebers blow their parents hard-earn money on Bieber's concerts lol. It's a 90 minutes match, did you see that Malaga vs Dortmund game? Malaga had it in their hands but then call it undeseverdly or anything but Dortmund snatched it. Noone remembers what happens in a game, they only remember the winners.and it was a clear penalty and we would of won it after that mayne. #wegotscrewed.Statistics?
