Do people really think he is fit enough to lace Willian's boots? Like I said before, you take goals and asissts out, Willian is twice the player Oscar is. Only difference now is that Willian is improving on the stats statistics and his true quality is showing. Oscar needs to improve a lot. This is based on a lot of games, not just a few. Starting back from last season, he just is not offering enough and needs to improve.

Nothing great, but in the second half he was the second deep midfielder after the changes. He also provided that long pass to Kennedy for arguably the best chance of the game, shame GK made a wonderful save to deny Kennedy

All in all I don't think he was bad or good, just average.

Inconsistent is probably my biggest gripe with Oscar - he has the ability no doubt and he can change a match if he desires.

I guess when the whole team is looking shit he struggles as well

That's the crux of the problem - the system is broken and it's now breaking the players.

I bet if we dropped him into PSG or some team - we would all want to sign him... Such is life

Im not going to give up on Oscar, because I have seen he can be very special player, but he is passive for quite some time now.

Its absolutely pointless to pick on single players when whole team and system are not working, but his clock is ticking I think.

Main problem I have with him is that he is just not physicaly ready to play for PL team week in week out. He is agressive and replaces that with lack of strenght, but he doesnt have stamina and balance required to keep our midfield powerful enough against certain teams in PL. Pairing him with Cesc makes things even worse.

But on other hand, he is very intelligent and has ability to connect our play due to his versatility like no other player in our team, so hopefuly he gets on the better side and put more consistent displays.

A balanced 4-3-3 would do us perfectly.

And when I say 3 Midfielders. I mean fucking suitable central midfielders. Matic, Cesc(If he's finally arsed) and a proper CM to play alongside those three. Add in RLC and another defensive midfielder for depth.

The fact Oscar doesn't excel in any particular area, from distribution, final third effectiveness, or just plain reading the game 'passing play', doesn't do our squad tempo any good, and a few spectacular goals isn't going to change that for me. Ramires is on the same boat. Mikel simply not good enough.
