Oscar

I thought I was going crazy because i couldn't for the life of me see anything remotely special in his technical (or should I say non defensive game) He doesn't have close control, lacks vision and passing of a playmaker, has tendency to gets clumsy on the ball and loses possession when under pressure and very unadventurous with majority of his passes for a "suppose no 10". if he develops into half the player sneijder was in his prime (which is very unlikely) as he isn't born with such technical ability and qualities then I would be a happy chappy.

Perhaps I have become too spoilt from watching artists like Zola and mata in the blues uniform and need to significantly lower my standard and expectation.

Yeah!

The Mata transfer will put a lot of pressure on Oscar. I hope he starts fully proving that we'll be fine without Juan - I want him to step up and consistently provide those killer passes. I hope he has that in his locker. He needs to be a lot more creative in the final third.

The feeling that Mata left because of Oscar will stay in people's heads for quite some time...especialy if Oscar doesnt deliver and Mata shines for United.

As for Oscar goes, yes he is young and all, but for someone who will be our main #10 and forced Mata out of team because of better performances, I expect him to be consistent and visible against top sides aswell.

You'll see a different oscar once Matic takesover.

He's going to be unfairly compared with Mata for the rest of his Chelsea career. That's simply the reality of the situation.

There's going to be unreasonable, back-breaking expectations and pressure on him depending on how well Mata plays for those Manc cunts. And it's only going to get worse with every Goal and assist Mata gets. Sad to see a 21 year old with that amount of pressure on his shoulders, can't believe Mourinho would put him in such a situation.

A pathetic statement from someone who is supporting United the next time Man United visit the Bridge apparently.

Willian was Mata's replacement because Mourinho saw Mata as a winger. Oscar has been one of our two best players this season and has no reason to worry if he keeps improving as he has done.

The guy is Brazil's number 10 - he can handle the pressure.

Why would he worry about so call pressure of taking over for Mata.

He freaking the number 10 (now 11) this summer at the World Cup at Brazil. Im not sure about you guys, but Im pretty sure being the cam for Brazil and playing in your home country is a lot more difficult situation, than this one.

Oscar didnt force Mata out.

Read again; I say he did forced him out because of better performances. Its not his fault, but still...he took Mata's position because of that (and sure a big thanks to Mou aswell).

If anyone that took his position, its Willian.

Had Oscar not starting, I bet Mata still wouldnt be Jose cam.

When I talk of no 10's (I will exclude the ozil, silva types) this is what they look like. Notice the close control, vision, defence splitting passes, imagination and just all round fantastic creativity. These are the type of quality a top club needs and worth losing a player like mata for not oscar.

Give it a rest and cheer the fuck up. Real Madrid have Isco. Bayern have Gotze. We have Oscar.

You stick with your Youtube videos of players who were in their prime at least half a decade ago. The game moves on, different systems emerge. If you don't like the system we're using then why not leave? You don't seem to have that great an affinity for this club anyway.

Mata's transfer will put pressure on Oscar, but people will have to be patient...

Most of Oscar's problem is that he isnt used with the pace and lack of space the Premier League offers (or in this case, doesnt). In Brazil he played in huge pitches, wilth Florida grass (which is at least twice slower) and against a lot less talented defenses!

Most of the times we see him making mistakes or giving up the ball is because he hasnt quite figured the time/space he has to make good plays or get rid of the ball.

However, we did already see flashes of brilliance and I am sure he will get over those obstacles and show us the Ballon D'Or he trully is!

(not to count the glues the team together a lot better than anyone we have)

its too bad Del bosque doesnt care too much about those attributes as well...(Have you seen Mata play for Spain vs Oscar for Brazil)

Also, Totti and Landrup were dynamic, strong/tall players. If Mata was 6 ft tall, strong and dynamic, yea he would fit Mourinho mold. (Aimar def. not) and only thing I remember of Costa was losing to korea in 2002.
