Oscar had the scope to be better than Oscar.

potential does not help their cause at Chelsea.

do you really expect s huge change concerning the youth policy in the summer? Because I don't. The manager will need to show results with zero job security and will play senior even squad players.

We won't be able to tell. We might be moving in a different direction this time.

I cant even bother to address the guy who cant understand the thing you wrote.

Its as if his hatred towards mikel is blocking all any rational thinking.

But thank you on clearing that for me. I was starting to doubt my own self. :)

I'm so very sorry to have polluted the... hmm... very pristine hatred towards Oscar, with my hatred towards Mikel.

Moderators should definitely warn people if they misplace hatred... hatred should be contained in their designated threads so to be better ... found. We shall not make comparisons and point out discrepancies, otherwise we'd have nothing to write about, since most of the time we are wrong.

Now that the the experts have declared who shall take Oscar's place here, all you have to do is convince the manager - any manager will do. Maybe even any member of the coaching staff might do the trick.

Don't mind if I take it with a grain of salt and wait until summer to see what happens: I'd put a lot of money in that none of the aforementioned scoped geniuses will be it. Either we buy someone ready and old enough to replace Oscar or Oscar will be here another season. The rest is dreamland...

* btw, I don't really hate Mikel just don't really enjoy watching him play.

Some people just love to play the victim, don't they.

Sometimes, instead of forcing your opinion down someone's throat, people should try to listen them out. No one here is denying  that both Oscar and mikel are average players who should not be a part of the squad. But their roles in the squad and the number of youth players in the wing make their situation very different. Mikel is our 2nd Dm who needed an abysmal half season from  matic to get into the team. I don't expect matic to be half this poor next season. Which would mean mikel going back to his very bit part role. People are "fine" with THAT.

Compare this to osxar's situation. He is our only recognised no.10. He needed to be abysmal for half a season to be dropped currently. Also, people are not replacing Oscar directly with boba and musonda. Replace Oscar with Isco or even payet. And sell him so that his 2nd no. 10 bit part role can be taken be musonda/bogs. If people can name one dm in our roster who can take mikel'a place. I ll happily see him off. The problem is we don't have that talent in that area of the pitch.

This is my opinion. Very simple and undramatic unlike others.

1. I was not the one who said I wont deal with someone because I don't Like his opinions... So if some is playing the victim here, it is you. Otherwise man up and reply to me not behind my back.

2. I was not playing the victim, but rather blatantly accusing you and pretty much all who liked your post of being hypocrites.

3. Why is it fine?! Why do you think playing Mikel is less detrimental to out chances of acquiring any meaningful silverware?!

bit part role?! It's the other way around: Oscar is the bit part player and Mikel is the starter or are we going to discuss that too?!

I don't know if it is an English way of seeing football - that defenders are defenders and attackers are attackers, but it is oh so fucking wrong. :)  the top teams ooze talent everyfuckingwhere on the pitch! They don't have an Isco, or a Modric, they have quality players in all areas.

Let me make my point abundantly clear once again: say we replace Oscar with Messi... We will still be a worse team than Barcelona, Real, and Bayern (and possibly City next season). And I am talking about Messi not Isco....

1. Understand the difference between "not liking an opinion" and "not even trying to understand someone's opinion".

2. Did you address the people directly? No. You took the passive aggressive way out of it. Admittedly I did the same but this was the exact reason I did not want to continue the discussion (not really a discussion with you at this point).

3. Mikel is a bit part player. You obviously did not care about reading or even trying to understand my whole post. Mikel is a starter currently because matic's awful season. And for me matic,s awful season is a one off. Meanwhile Oscar was a starter all season. Even in gus's starting matches and only in the past 3/4 matches has he been relegated to the bench.

So? We should not look to better ourselves? I don't get the point of your last argument. Replacing Oscar with messi does not make us better than the top 3 but it makes our squad better. Otherwise we can stop everything because unless we make 15 changes we won't be as good as either of those 3.

As for people "liking" my post. I feel they are Chelsea fans too who see my  point and feel this may be a good method to go forward. You on the other hand are so fixated at abusing mikel and belittling the man/player that you  can't see anyone else's point.

Honestely,I do not know how he Oscar managed to impress that many coaches because he is so inconsistent with his performances and let´s be honest,he plays most of the time really bad.Sadly,RLC is not trusted by the manager and if Pedro should be out for the next match,Oscar will start the game, even though he does not deserve to start any matches for our club with these kind of performances

1. Ok now we are discussing again. However, perhaps I fully understand your opinion, after all we are not discussing anything difficult, but disagree with it?

2. You did that first buddy... I just responded. I do call everyone who calls me out on Mikel and go on and on dissing other players (brana, Iva, Oscar, Diego, Cahill) hypocrites. Is it ok for others, but not for me?

3. Again I disagree. I doesn't matter why Mikel plays regularly, but he does. The other top top teams don't have a Mikel. Only the not so top have the flaminis, youngs, and mikels who end up starting. That's why these folks don't compete, imo.

of course we should better ourselves, but to me it is silly to look for a single player, which ironically is what I do with Mikel. The difference, however, is that I get called out for criticizing Mikel, by you for example, but people on here and brana thread, never are.

its absolute fine if they agree with you on that, but I disagree with them on their singling out of Oscar the same way I disagree with you; even if I agree Oscar himself has stagnated. Oscar imo is one of the least problems we have esp because we have options there.

There is also the difference of criticising a player who deserves it and giving another their due. Mikel has done a very good job covering for matic. Also, how does it not matter how mikel is a starter currently? Do we expect matic to have another shit season next year? In that case do we expect hazard to be this average? Do we expect tibo to be this average? Well, in these cases we need a world class dm, a world class winger, and a world class gk. I don't think so. I think these 3 will be back to their best once they get their confidence back.

William is a winger in my opinion. He does not have the creativeness or the vision to be the no. 10 for us. He is doing a fine job currently but I would rather have him on the wings with someone like Isco as a no.10 who can control games. As for Oscar. Let's not even compare him to such players. And again, what is osxar's role in the squad? A starter - then he clearly is not good enough. A bench player? Musonda/boga will be as good. And that is the point I have been trying to make for days now.

Hence, why people think Oscar is a major problem in our squad. We need a massive upgrade on a no.10 starter in the team. We needed that last season too but for some weird reason Jose thought Oscar would have a hazard-esque development . Well Oscar clearly did not, but hazard had a Oscar-esque development.

Anyways, this is where we disagree the most. For me, a creative no.10 is a must. Someone who can take the play making load off cesc, control the possession etc etc, all of which Oscar can't do. If we do get a creative no.10 like Isco then Oscar becomes redundant and useless even more than he currently is. Hence, why i feel he can replaced by a musonda/boga.

Ps- let's stop comparing ourselves to the top 3. We are a decade off them. Also, while rm might have bought a squad of superstars, barca and bayern have an army of their own youth players who they developed into superstars. We have a chance to do that too with some of the talent we have at our disposal.
