MrBlueGuy 1,552
He will get benched next week against City despite playing well this week, got a feeling he will leave us in Jan/next summer to Juve or something. Either way cannot see his long term future here especially after his gesture at Mourinho after his goal yesterday. iseah100

MrBlueGuy 1,552
care to explain the gesture you are talking about? After the goal he kinds of pointed toward Mourinho then said something, didn't seem that happy and celebrate like he usually did before. Almost as if he made a point to Mourinho. Henrique and sapper245
Special Juan 28,141
care to explain the gesture you are talking about? Its the gesture that SKY made a point of showing yesterday at HT, basically trying to stir shit when nobody knew what the celebration was about.People making something out of nothing and then going "Lets stir up shit because it suits the situation" pHaRaOn, Henrique and Barbara
supporter 3,088
If Oscar is on the bench against City next week ... that would be a completely absurd mistakeOscar is now our player with the highest competitive tension, and yesterday he was the best in terms of creativity.I'm not a big fan of him. But this year Oscar has a better attitude and he is improving day by day his performance. Even now he is our best option for CM (Although against City I think Jose will use Fabregas as CM). If he is not in our starting eleven next Sunday it would be a great disappointment. In addition, we can not go in fear at the Etihad Stadium. We have to come out with our best players, and now Oscar is one of them. Fabregas Matic Oscar Willian Hazard Diego CostaRegards. Barbara 15,149
Its the gesture that SKY made a point of showing yesterday at HT, basically trying to stir shit when nobody knew what the celebration was about.People making something out of nothing and then going "Lets stir up shit because it suits the situation"maybe, but seeing it in the video posted last page, it was weird. Oscar is always so happy and enthusiastic in his goal celebrations. I don't think it has any long term implication, but something was definitely off. Gilvorak 3,734
I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of them having a fractured relationship. Not sure Oscar was best too pleased about being left on the bench for the Community Shield. His reaction to getting subbed didn't look good either.Ironically, that's probably the best thing for his development. People tend to perform best when they have a point to prove. He's been the "boy from Brasil" for far too long.
robsblubot 3,595
It all goes both ways.If he keeps on playing well, but keeps on being sacrificed by the manager for whatever reason, he may indeed become disillusioned and want to move.He will then find another top team - that's where he belongs - and develop there. We will get good money for him because he is a top player. That's a lot of ifs and buts though. What we see this season is that as usual he's performing at a very high level in the beginning of the season. He's been so long playing poorly that some people have forgotten that he actually has very good technique in tight spaces, and most importantly, can actually score from long shots. Now, I am VERY worried about Fabregas who was just as poor end last season and was our worst player yesterday. Pizy 18,916
Hopefully he IS pissed off and tired of being dropped. Maybe José will even ridicule him in the media if he isn't playing well enough like he did with Hazard and it'll raise his level to where everyone expected it to be when we signed him.Him being the only #10 in the squad may make him feel comfortable. Needs to be pushed and given tough love. Gilvorak

sapper245 40
I always think that Hazard plays best when Oscar is in the team, they seem to gel better and create goals for each other. On the down side it looks like he get tired after about 70 minutes, seems to run out of puff. Barbara

Jase 43,479
Link please?I never said he has written one.Anyway on that incident, Oscar probably refused to celebrate much because he thought he got lucky with the free kick and all the talk about Mourinho not playing Oscar in the big games is a bit off. For example he didn't play against Man City away last year (of course he didn't) but played whole match at home because we had RLC, Brown, Ake and Christensen on the bench. For me two omissions in semi-final against Atletico tell you the story that Oscar's position in the team is far from certain and pretty much there for the taking.
