Cz4rny1337 24
Ye, like dudes above I watch Ajax few times, and that Erikson boy wasn't amazing or even very good. Just regular player. Nothing special. Plus, his father [agent?] hate us, when he was a boy they come few times for trials.
Wise 45
Quick question: Why is everyone putting Oscar in the starting XI? I swear the thing we Chelsea fans do best is hype players. He is a 20 year old with POTENTIAL who is not, yet at least, good enough to start over the likes of Lampard and Meireles in the double pivot and certainly not better than Mata, Hazard and Rambo in the three behind the striker. If we are to buy him, which I am totally against consider his price, he will most likely spend most of his first couple of seasons here on the bench.Over Meireles? Are you serious? Wise 45
Lukaku thought the same but the figure was 18m at that time.12 million Euros with 6 million in add-ons according to most Belgium reports. The British press stamped the £18 million figure on the deal because they have an agenda.
Blue Armour 4,439
If we are going to play 3-4 flair players upfront, we better learn to keep possession or else we're screwed to say the least.

Pizy 18,909
Don't know why people keep bringing up his age. He's 20 now and will turn 21 early in the season in September. Same age as Eden Hazard.
HNKS 508
Don't know why people keep bringing up his age. He's 20 now and will turn 21 early in the season in September. Same age as Eden Hazard.Exactly. People comparing him to Lukaku should know better. Lukaku had Drogba and Torres ahead of him, Oscar would be in the mix along with Marin, KDB for a spot within the midfield. He will definitely get more game time than Lukaku and depending on his performances he might even become a starter.
CHOULO19 24,332
Over Meireles? Are you serious?Have you seen Oscar play? And I don't mean youtube compilations, I mean actually watch him play full 90 mins?
Kojo 4,676
Lukaku will do well in the future, even if he doesn't shine on this loan.

CHOULO19 24,332
I will pose you the same question. I find it hilarious that you really believe that Raul is a better player.I have watched him play a few matches with Brazil and two times with inter. He did not exactly impress me at his club. I thought with Brazil he was a better: his passing is good for his age and his vision is excellent. But he is no where near a finished article: he needs to improve technically, he has good movement but is sometimes just lazy, and his defending is just unacceptable in the PL.I'm not saying that he does not have the potential to be much much better than Raul, but at the time, if I am RDM I would choose Raul over Oscar for any important match. And that is coming from one of the biggest Meireles critics on the forum.
Wise 45
Have you seen Oscar play? And I don't mean youtube compilations, I mean actually watch him play full 90 mins?Yes, seen him play 6 full matches. Meireles is a liability in the double pivot, he was awful through most of last season with his careless passing and weak tackling.
Hutcho 8,443
TBH it doesn't matter who will play out of Oscar and Raul, as lampard will play ahead of Raul, so basically it is either Lampard or Oscar, as we are not gonna pay 25 mil for a midfielder to be 4th in line, assuming unless Mikel occupys one of the two holding midfield spots. And for me Lampard deserves to start more than anyone, and has always been quality. Between Lampard and Raul Merelies its not even close and we don't know how good Oscar is yet, but i am excited to find out. I know lampard wont play loads of games etc..... But with all the new signings and expected 4-2-3-1, lots of players have been pushed down the pecking order, one of which is raul merieles. CHOULO19 24,332
Yes, seen him play 6 full matches. Meireles is a liability in the double pivot, he was awful through most of last season with his careless passing and weak tackling.I completely agree. Actually if you check Raul's thread you'll see that I am one of his biggest critics around. However, I would not start Oscar over him in any important match because firstly Meireles works a lot harder and is much more experienced, and secondly because Oscar's defending is weak even for the Brazilian league. Add to that, I think Oscar is best in a 4-3-3 when he can rely on two other central midfielders to cover for him, I'm not too sure how well he'll fit in a double pivot role. Wise 45
We must be aware that we lost an excellent choice. Both Oscar and the inability to hire Nilmar. We need a man with the boat, speed of the game for some situations. The Oscar performing this function. He is a complete player, helps in the recovery of the ball. We will need to find another possibility. - Internacional manager.
