Who are the alternatives to Cesc and Pogba? Ramires and RLC? Definitely would be wise to do everything to keep him.Based on merit I have no doubt Oscar can displace Cesc, unless Mou does a Flipe Luis to him. Oscar and Pogba are much more balanced duo. Juventus crave Oscar; they definitely would be more willing to let Pogba go providing that our man goes to them. The board knows this too because Jose came out and complained about Allegri openly talking about Oscar this summer. As much as I don't want it to be true, an oscar + cuadrado + cash deal is a possibility. It would be difficult though because Oscar said that he wants to stay. I think if there's a really good offer for Oscar he will be sold, he is not exactly a guy who cannot be replaced easily considering the fact there are many number 10s out there and also deeper midfield players who could come in for us to go to a 4-3-3 possibly. Pogba is a better player, with far less limitations in his game, all the while being younger. Saying that though, if Oscar continues to play the way he did in that first half against Swansea... He is well on his way to being top 3 at his position in the world. For all the downs we've had to start the season, that one half of play against Swansea might have been the best half of football I've seen from a Chelsea player in a long time.
