MLS All-Stars Vs Chelsea

One of the key things to consider is sharpness. We're playing in high heat and humidity against players half way through their season and accustomed to such conditions. It's why they're good matches to have.

City have lost this pre season and united have struggled through also. It's about getting everybody fit and ready which means at times playing scratch teams and making lots of substitutions that can disrupt rhythm.

If such problems are still occuring regularly at the start of the season then we have a problem, but no worries just yet.

Well that was hardly worth staying up for. Uninspiring to say the least, and although results do not matter one bit, I don't enjoy seeing us lose. Lukaku was far too static and offers next to nothing in terms of movement. Ironically Benayoun was the best player in a white shirt first half. I've no idea why Marin was playing so centrally either. We'll look a better team when our strikers start scoring goals, I'm sure. Over to you, Fernando.

Why do thy keep letting Luiz take freekicks? we all know the ball's just going to hit the wall or end up in the cheap seats

I hope we get to see a preseson game where we control and dictate the game, and we attack with fluidity and relative ease

Remember last year we won all our preseason games, and season before I think...and how did we play during the season? Awful, we ended in 6th place in the league, and 2 seasons ago we won nothing...so chill out :) We will play lot better when PL starts, I have no doubts in that :)

Chelsea's key players were not really engaged in tha match today probably in order to avoid injury. Consequently we do not possess the ball in the front frequently and confortably. Judging from the recent warming ups, the team is still far away from integration, especially in the attacking line. Let's hope when mata, oscar and torres (and other new comers maybe) come back our attacking can be mature and effective.

welcome ...a calm and reasoned post ...

In terms of pre-season it was a decent game (remeber it's all about fitness).

But in terms of fucking self respect it was fucking awful. To lose to All-Star team who play in country where people call football - soccer?! It's fucking embrassing, and not to mention we are European Champions.

Imagine all those over hyped Americans reading headlines: Amazing performance by our MLS Team who beat European Champions last night. Fuck.
