Eden Hazard

The combination of the World Cup and a shortened transfer window could either fuck us or really help us when it comes to Eden. All depends on whether he's desperate to leave or not. If he is, a move will have to happen extremely soon. Like, this coming week soon. After that there's surely no way we'd have enough time to pull off big moves to replace him adequately.

Key thing here that not many are mentioning is Spain do not have a shortened window, they could sign hazard even after our window is closed though I cant see the club letting that happen.

Yeah, that won't happen. Only chance at all we sell him late in the window is if we can convince one of their star players (Isco or Bale) to come the other way. At least I hope that's what our club is thinking.

Can't do that - when it's closed for us we can't register any players in

Guardian reporting the same thing as Telegraph earlier. And in this article, it also mentions Hazard (and Courtois) will return from their break at the start of August (guess the same applies for Kante and others as well).

Yep, start of the season for the top teams without some of their best players could be a bit difficult, even more so for us with a new manager.

It's a huge chance for some of the boys already in training or back shortly to make their impression on Sarri before some of the main lads come back, because with the shortened pre-season they may not be properly ready to start the new season.

The only 2 players that we are currently realistically missing (taking it for granted Tibo is gone) and waiting to retuen for preseason are Eden an wee baldy man. Both would be starters so yje only problem Sarri has there is IF eden WANTS to go.

Options are to ignore offers and hope this season changes his mind. or it doesn't and we have less bargaining power as the seller. OR we get as much for him now as e can.

All our other players will be trying their hardest to make a good impression no matter who it is

Sarri will have each position under a microscope with his drone team on overtime.

IF Eden/Tibo goes IMHO thats another 4 players we really need - 5 with a ACM

if he stays he'll be even less motivated.

Dead right mate and tho when hes ON hes unstoppable - When hes off there's no point of him being on the pitch.

Only option would be a swap if it drags out. Real Madrid aren't exactly short of players that they want to get rid off, who would improve our squad without question.

A model professional does not flirt with Real Madrid at every given opportunity. He has been doing this since Zidane took over. He has every right to ask to leave for Madrid, I would respect that. But do it privately, talk with the club only. It’s been a great 6 years but i need a change or you guys know where I want to go. Wtf is that!

For me Hazard is a model of professionalism, these athletes get interviewed tons. Some fabricated by reporters and some fun by the athletes. It is not a big deal. Judge Hazard by the way he carries himself on the pitch and off of it. Few athletes do it better.

Who in your opinion embodies professionalism more?

We still have a lot of things in our hands. Strong argument would be UCL - but why go to Real who won't win it in next two years for sure? Eden is type of player that could play great until his 33 at least, take one more season of no UCL and than come with a bang and present Sarri-ball to the world. 4 more years to win the UCL at least, with Chelsea.

Really the worst time to go to Real Madrid - Juve, City and even Liverpool are the teams to watch in UCL now. Bayern might come into combination too.
