Jase 43,479
On topic...Daily Star (and Times apparently) claimed Hazard missed the training session because he lost his passport. Then again, this is a non-issue, isn't it?
LukakutoStamford 779
Non story ... He missed training and was punished why it needs to discussed is beyond me.
Henrique 9,133
And the award for the "non-issue/pointless debate" of the week goes to...One of the our best players missed the match due to disciplinary reasons. Really pointless.
Mustafa 885
Aside from all of the ruckus that was caused by the whole "lost passport" shit.... You might think that im being a bit of a twat for saying this but... HE NEEDS TO BRING MORE TO THE TABLE !! So far this season, Im sorry but im looking at the Aaron Ramseys and the Daniel Sturridges - who aren't as talented as Eden or even close to him... yet, they've been excellent ALL season long. What is that due to ? End product !! If Ramsey can add end product to his game, then why the fuck cant Hazard ? For 32million you expect him to be in excellent form throughout the season. Look at Aguero. Different role in his team but he wins the big games for his team. Eden sadly does not. Eden has been in England for a year and a bit now... he's fully adapted ! So he needs to make his presence felt. The one game all season that i was impressed by his performance was against Bayern. He was terrific on that night. But, since that night in August, he hasn't shown us that kind of form again. Thats a major disappointment, especially because he is soo talented. Also, as Chelsea fans, we are always going to be biased towards our players. Its natural. But im sorry, Hazard doesn't deserve to be in the shortlist for the Ballon D'or. In 2013, in now way has he been in the top 23 players in the world. Talent wise, he's in the top 10 but form wise and influence wise.... he's faar from the top 23 players in world. The fact that people are saying such things as "If Neymar is there, why not Eden" astounds me ! Neymar won his country the Confederations cup and has been Barcelona's best player so far this season outshining LIONEL MESSI. With all due respect to Hazard, he hasn't done anything that can be considered even remotely comparable to that. Now that he's in this position of respect and admiration by the most powerful men in the footballing world, he has to back that up ! He needs to make his presence felt and take the game by the scruff of the neck !! MORE GOALS, MORE ASSISTS... Common Eden !! Sincerely, a concerned and kinda disappointed Chelsea fan chelseathebest and Roquila

Popular Post! The Skipper 20,609 Posted November 8, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted November 8, 2013 Still needs to step it up, he needs to be playing as our main guy this season but he hasn't been good enough in general IMO, just about average. He has the capabilities to be the best player in the PL, but he isn't showing it yet. I want to see him hitting form soonish as I have very high expectations of him. chelseathebest, yuvala, Barbara and 3 others

What is that due to ? End product !! If Ramsey can add end product to his game, then why the fuck cant Hazard ? Eden has been in England for a year and a bit now... he's fully adapted ! Not picking on you but these two points actually reminded me of something I was talking to a mate about at the game on Wednesday.Jose clearly believes in Eden because he's got far more opportunities than almost every other player this season, even though he's been inconsistent. Even if you take his time here in it's entirety, it's been up and down with the flashes of utter brilliance easily recited by each of us. He doesn't have that many bad games, but there's often a tentativeness to his play when we all just want him to run at opponents. He doesn't give up possession and I've never seen a player so expertly get between a defender and the ball often resulting in a free-kick, but still there's a sense that he's just not setting the league alight like he should. The discussion about him is now becoming reminiscent of the one United fans started having about Ronaldo in his first couple of seasons, but everything seems to have kicked on for him from his 100th match for United. I remember that being seen as a turning point, especially when people were talking about Nani's approach to 100 games.Eden is at 75 games.Interestingly, Ramsay is well over 150 games into his PL career despite a serious injury, yet he has taken his game to a level that few thought he would actually reach (at least people I know despite him having a lot of potential). Basically I think he needs a bit more time. Last year he showed tremendous growth in terms of the defensive side of his game and he's already on his third manager at this club, but Jose certainly seems to see something in him which is why I think the disciplinary action was measured and done without too much drama and why he will be back in the squad this weekend.I think he'll benefit tremendously from us now having a threat up front as well, so teams can't creep up on him and double team him. Equally having a presence on the opposite wing in Willian will stop teams from neglecting that area safe in the knowledge nothing of note will come down the right. But it's all about how he reacts now. jeronimo, Barbara, Mufassir08 and 2 others

He misplaced his passport which made him late for his train. Something that can happen to any human being. As a result, he missed a training session. He didn't play in the match, we won without him and he will be back in the squad for Saturday. There is no commitment problem, there are no character problems, there is no issue to talk about. The_Flash 1,144
Jose said he dealt with Eden and that is the end of it. I think he wants to to be firm yet wants everyone to still like him. I think he is good at balancing that. I am not worried that if he wasn't fully committed Jose would bench him soon as look at him. End of story
Barbara 15,149
Here is hoping Eden will do a Rafael Nadal thing and will be super riled up this weekend and will have the performance of the year. Here is praying it carries on after that
The only place to be 11,313
One of the our best players missed the match due to disciplinary reasons. Really pointless. I agree. It's not a massive issue, but he has let himself down, he let his teammates down and he let the club down through an act of absentmindedness/stupidity. Jose seems to have dealt with it swiftly and kept the fuss to a minimum but it's not a nothing-issue as some are making out. Anyone who has been part of a team, or even worked in a team environment knows how important it is for people to work for one another and not let each other down. He did, but it wasn't intentional and I'm sure he won't do it again. Henrique
chelseathebest 150
I think that his only class performance this season was in the Bayern match. Other matches were just average or even worse than that. He's been with us for a year already, I think that he has had enough time to adapt and now is the time to step up. CHOULO19 24,332
it seems he didnt have permission to go to France ,, I think that is more serious than losing his passportIf that is the case then the there would be a big issue. But non of the reliable media sources mentioned that. Plus, I'm confident that Jose would have reacted more severely if Eden had actively went against his will which had led him to miss a training session and he would not be going out in the media and saying there is no story to discuss.EDIT: Actually, just read that Jose confirmed that he just lost his passport and that Eden apologized and it's over. So hopefully we can all move on from this non-issue. Not massive stuff, but its really pathetic to see things in the way you see.Well then it must be true that ignorance is bliss because I'm perfectly happy seeing things the way I do
