what are you talking about he looked very lively on the ball in the comm shield, he didnt worry me a bit, he ran straight at the city defense and provided a lot of good passes putting people in good positions, it was not a poor match by any standards, when your reduced to 10 men, how do you expect him to work well no one did

A lot of good passes? The guy was turnover machine, lost a bunch of balls.I dont think he managed to dribble past a city player once.

I like him,but he needs to tighten up

He was one of the best performing players in the first half. Second half he didn't do much, that is true. But that's because he didn't see much balls and due to City overpowering us (11vs10).

I don't know what you want to hear Kojo. Do you want all of us stop supporting Hazard because he had a mediocre performance (just like every other player)? Hazard will NOT help Chelsea on is own. He will help lift Chelsea to another level, with the rest of the team.

We know you don't like Hazard, you can stop making it clear now. Being a Chelsea fan isn't hating on a players topic after his first 70 (semi-)official minutes in England.

No, i just want people to stop over hyping him and expecting so much. Because lets face it, he isn't world class, and needs to actually do something in a game.

What winds me up is, he doesn't seem to have any ability to change a game or make an impact in a game, like Mata can do.

He just seems to be that player, if everyone else is playing good, he will start performing. I never used to like Hazard but i like him now as i think he is actually a decent bloke, even if he is over confident.

Just lol at the people who expected to see world-class Hazard in his first game against a proper English club. It takes weeks and maybe months to fully adapt in a new country, new league and new team. Yet, he is being abused. Of course he should have done better but haven't we already seen things like this?

Of course not but no need to say he had a good game because he clearly didn't

Lolol.

Not a great start and unusual for him to miss it completely as he is usually quite good with his backheels. Besides that, if it had succeed, Cole would have been alone on the left.

And on this gif, where are the midfielders, there is just mikel i guess on the left deeper and no one else

And Kojo, you will always be disappointed by him because you have a misconception about him, he is not a player like Ronaldo who has a forward mentality.

Even if he failed miserably on this action, it's more like his game, moving players along him on one direction and then playing the man on the opposite with a trick or quick turn on the space he vacated by moving.

And I don't know why you compared him to Mata on this match as Mata did no world class actions on this match either.

Oh dear.. I suppose Mata is a pile of shit too after being virtually non existent against Man City...... No I didn't think so... Lay of Hazard , he didn't play a bad game and with time he will cut out the errors to his game.... all in due time my pedigree chums.

He didn't get round many players because they kept taking him out... Though he did actually get passed a few players early on in the first half... Can't say much for many of our players in the second half as we seemed to be deflated by that red card and city was dominating as you would expect. Also he is plyaing at Left wing we wan't him to run at defences, we can't ask him to do that then critisice him every time someone tackles him. He won't be world class this season but its not like he can only be World class or shit, i think he will have a good first season with us... Roll on next weekend and lets get this season started...

He reminds me a lot of Joe Cole but smaller version.

The one player I am most excited about is Oscar, despite me criticizing him yesterday

For me he is more of an important buy then Hazard.

Joe Cole? No, Hazard is already a better footballer than Joey ever was. I love Joey btw, just Hazard is far more superior all around.

How does being maybe a better player rule out the possibility of having a similar playing style with someone else?

I have noticed the similarities as well, and that can only be a good thing because at his prime Joe was a very exciting player to watch.

Did you watch the game?

The same problems exist, either our midfield is too far away from defenders or too far from the attackers - we need to get that right before we start looking good.

Hazard found himself alone initially as AC wasn't going for the overlap, so he tried to make something happen.

It didn't work it boohoo - one swallow don't make a summer (or a whore) as the saying goes.

Get behind the fucking team and support OUR players!

I thought he is similar to Joe as well, but instantly realize Hazard is much faster and direct, less flair and more effective.

But yes, his figure and postures look quite similar to Joe.

At last something we agree on.

Well I was arguing about Oscar mental strenghtness in big games.

But there is no doubt he is a great player, and probably in a season or two might be the best player in our team.

However great players tend to disappear in big games a la Ronalda.

That is the only thing I said.

We been missing someone like Joe Cole.

This guy reminds me a lot of him.

Might be better, but at least someone in that mold is great to have.

No doubt it will take him a season to adjust despite the hefty price tag.

Maybe it's only me but i thought he was good in the first half. He was shit in the 2nd because we as a team were shit and everyone was shit. He showed me today that he's a good player on the left side and can be very dangerous against a top team.

We start the season against some below average premiership teams. Those games are crucial for him getting confidence and learning about the premiership.
