Eden Hazard is "waiting" for Real Madrid to make a move to sign him, according to Belgian football expert Kristof Terreur.

Hazard has just over a year left on his Chelsea contract and Terreur told the Transfer Talk podcast: "He has rejected two contract offers so far and says that he doesn't want to sign right now. That means he is waiting for something and that something means just one thing, Real Madrid.

"Real Madrid are still interested as far as I know, but they are still yet to make their move. They don't have a personal agreement with him at this point, they don't have an agreement with Chelsea and they haven't even made the phone call like they did last summer."

Yeah, Real Madrid probably don't want the trouble of trying to get him in January, our board will never agree to that. I think the club is willing to risk getting a lower fee in the summer and they know it will be lower, but they also know the ramifications of not finishing top 4 would be much more severe, and without Hazard we can essentially kiss top 4 goodbye. The remaining time the club will be trying to convince him to stay, so what they gotta do first is get a competent striker... Hazard is probably counting days till summer playing false nine. I'm not sure that Higuain is the right player to prove our ambitions, but for the remainder of the season it would be better than nothing. The hope is maybe that we will start playing much better with him and Eden will love it. :dunno:

I think we will fail in persuading him and Real will come in with some low-ball offers at first, we will reject them and so on and so forth, until we are finally forced to accept something. Real will be under pressure to buy themselves out of this state they find themselves in and Hazard is probably the cheapest top quality option available. It also doesn't help that Hazard himself gives subliminal "come get me" pleas each chance he gets, you can be sure as shit they have taken note.

At this point, I don't even think it's a case of convincing him anymore. We can easily list out all the cons of him leaving us for Real but really, he just desperately wants to go to Real Madrid and it's just a case of whether they will officially come for him.

It is just weird that he still want to go to Real. Real has been a mess for quite some time now.

Don't believe people who say oh they sold ronaldo so now they are suck. Nope they finished like 15 points of Barcelona last year

The team are just too old in some areas, Ramos, Modric and Benzema need to be replaced.

As if it would matter.

Lukaku would never go to Mou United if you believed the media.

These player-manager stories are made up 90% because they sell papers. Stuff that happens on pitch is business and they probably dont give two shits about it after, but media blows it out of proportion.

The only clashes happen when both have massive ego: like Ibra and Pep.

Eden isnt one of those and if Real comes knocking, I guess he would play for Mou, Conte or whoever else will be there.

Can't believe that,

I do think that players relationships with their manager plays a large part of their attitude at work, And having a manager they dont like at a club that want him would surely make a big part of their decision.

I know it would me. It would just make it hard to go to work in the morning.

Went missing against Arsenal. No excuses: false nine, Sarri BS.

He saw a lot of the ball while playing false nine and then when back in a free role. Held to the ball too long, did not pass quickly enough and always looked for the dribble.

He is our most important player and we need him to step up in these games. This was not it.

Look even if he detested the position and he stamped his tiny feet and held his breath till he turned blue and sqweamed and sqweamed every curse word under the sun he should still do the nest job that he could and I dont see that he's tried.

Its as clear as the grimaces on our faces hes off and we should have had all this sorted a year ago. But we have to NOW seriously get into the market for a replacement.

Do we go for a LW or a RW and put Pully over o LW?

Whether one way or the other we got options like  Coutinho,Chiesa,Isco,Werner (striker yeah but also LW) , Suso,Malcom,Lozano,Thauvin,Bailey, Coman,Hazard.Bertrand Traore, and probably another 20 that Mz @Vesper will add on.But we do need to do it now,

Whats your options guys?

The club would be silly to try and replace Hazard directly just like when they needed to replace Lampard, we brought in a completely different player and changed the approach. I think for the club to adequately replace him, it needs two players to be purchased.

I don't see anyone else that can replace the chance creation and dribbling ability of Hazard being able to conjure something out of nothing.

I do think though that there are wide players who are quicker, can play in a more direct way rather than feeling the need to drop deep and are more comfortable and prepared to press high and aggressively. There are players who can operate out wide also who may not be as creative but can offer similar or potentially better goal outputs.

For me the club would need to concentrate on buying a goal scoring winger who plays more direct than Hazard and would replace his goal output and a much more creative player to play the central midfield role who would in theory take over the creative output that you lose from Hazard.

Names! Easy to say goal scoring winger.

And we NEVER did replace Lamps. Never even got close to a similar type. If we had one now then we wouldn't be in this much shite.

Eden was awful yesterday. Again we will have to see the Hazard fanboys defend him with their lives because he couldn't possibly dribble unnecessarily into dead ends, make the wrong runs or make the wrong pass over and over again. Not Hazard, no! On a positive note, I don't think I saw him make one ridiculous backpass yesterday.

Not a thing said about Eden today. Shock!

Because if anybody dares to criticze Eden certain members pop up saying that it is controversial of wrong to criticize him or have some excuse.

Has been the same shit for years, folk act as if hes the only ever top player to have pulled on the shirt for us (hes not, he could be one of the very top top ones but I dont even think he will be in the Lampard, Drogba, Cech, Terry bracket because those guys were world class, never lost their desire, won trophies during the club's most successful period). Although if Willian, Pedro, Alonso, Jorginho, Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Morata or whoever play like Eden has done at times the last few years theres a virtual pitchfork mob trying to chase them out the club.

Eden is world class but you wouldnt think that at all recently. Needs a rocket up his arse. He may not like playing false 9 but instead of acting like a baby, constantly swinging his arms up to complain or that in games, he has to work, do the job and do it well. End of story. Same with everybody else in the team.
