That Willian number is absolutely shocking (but not surprising) considering they have played together for 5 and a half seasons

This shows how important a good CF is!!

just those 3 (Morata, Costa, Giroud) have assisted on 11 of his goals, and all three have hardly played with him, compared to some of the others.

Chelsea could decide Eden Hazard's future for him in January - Maurizio Sarri

Snip

Sarri, exasperated by the relentless speculation around his superstar, believes it's "time to decide" Hazard's future so that Chelsea can plan with or without him.

When it was put to him that Chelsea have little control over the situation as long as Hazard is reluctant to discuss a contract extension, Sarri replied: "I don't think so. The club can decide for him."

Asked if that meant Chelsea potentially selling Hazard in January rather than at the end of the season, he added: "I don't know, but I think it's right that the club knows the future and has the chance to programme [plan] the future."

Good! I 1000% back Sarri on this.

"I don't think it necessarily changes anything about the Hazard situation. The way I understand it is that both him and Chelsea are waiting for Real Madrid to make the move.

"Until Real Madrid have decided that Hazard is going to be our next superstar and say 'we want him, no one else and here is the money', nothing will move.

"I don't think, or have heard anything on the contrary, that Real Madrid have ever done that. That is why we see this flip-flopping from Hazard.

"One day he says he wants to stay, the other day he says he might leave. I don't think he himself knows right now because there is not an offer on the table."

Tottenham transfer news: Real Madrid make contact in Christian Eriksen chase as Barcelona bow out

The European champions are planning a necessary overhaul of their squad this summer, and want one of Eriksen or Chelsea’s Eden Hazard

Real Madrid have made initial steps to prise Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, and are preparing what they hope will be a £100m deal.

The struggling European champions are planning a necessary overhaul of their squad this summer, and want one of Eriksen or Chelsea’s Eden Hazard to be their new playmaker, but the Dane is seen as more gettable.

While the contracts of both are up in 2020, Spurs’ way of doing business means they are seen by Madrid as likelier to sell for a fee in the last year.

Barcelona had previously been hugely interested in Eriksen, and saw him as an alternative to Philippe Coutinho before they signed the Brazilian a year ago, but do not now plan any move.

That leaves the way clear for Madrid, and there has already been contact between intermediaries representing the parties.

Eriksen is stalling on a new deal with Spurs, despite the club being willing to offer him around £200,000 to £250,000 a week, but it is understood the player’s concerns are not financial.

At 26 years of age, the forward is very happy at Spurs but feels he might be at a point in his career when he should try a new football culture, and it is one of his ambitions to play for one of Spain’s major clubs in his prime.

Bayern Munich has not been completely ruled out, but sources close to the player feel that if Madrid or Barcelona cannot happen, Eriksen would stay at Spurs.

The Bernabeu hierarchy are highly conscious of the difficulty of negotiating with Daniel Levy, but feel the contract situation greatly leverages the situation, and that they may be able to do a deal this summer for under £100m.

Madrid plan a partial clear-out to fund such deals, with the struggling Isco one of the prime candidates to be sold.

Those involved think there is the possibility the Spanish playmaker could be put forward in a make-weight in such deals, as has already been broached in other negotiations where Madrid have tried to make deals happen.

Madrid's inner circle stepped up their transfer plans for the summer in December, with Eriksen set out as one of the clearest targets.

It is understood that, if it it came to a situation where Eriksen absolutely would not sign a new deal before the summer, Spurs would want in excess of £100m for any transfer.

Eriksen is the better option for them

they have 2 young, potentially superstar (especially in Vinícius Júnior's case) LWers already, and lack of depth AND performance (Isco's partial collapse) at AMF.

I would take Eriksen over Isco in a flash (I know that is heresy in these thar parts, lolol).

TBH I probably would too!

Tho I do like Isco taking Erikson is less of a gamble as he is PL proven.

And if I was RM I dont understand the either or as they dont play the same position. Take them both. But with Bale there I cant see their fans liking it.
