Yeah I've thought this a few times. Look at the numbers somebody like Insigne has put up for Sarri, and obviously Mertens as well. 

It's not ideal by any stretch but if Sarri can get us going I do think the blow could be softened somewhat.

Pulisic would be super underwhelming for me, and I'm American. I think he's super overhyped. If he was another nationality I don't think he'd get much attention at all. People would say he's a solid player but not much more. Because he's the most talented American in years he has everyone fawning over him.

Someone mentioned Bailey and Martial. I'd settle for those two before Pulisic. Both have huge ceilings and would be actually obtainable.

Isco would definitely ease the pain for most of our fans because he's super skillful and flashy. But again, he seems like an impossible target.

Not a chance we get isco. He was Lopetegu's star player in spain and as Madrid manager now he won't let him go. Kovacic on the other hand is a realistic target and we should aim for him if Hazard leaving is inevitable.

This to be fair is far softer than the shortened quote given which almost sounded like a transfer request. 

As some have said on here, i think he'll assess his options and see if Madrid come in first. They'll have to be quick mind because there is no way we're selling once our transfer window closes.

I don't see the point in Kovacic when we've just spent big on Jorginho. 

If we get another midfielder I'd far rather someone who operates higher up the pitch like Golovin.

Fair enough, I just think that's the level we'd be looking at.  Maybe Brandt from Leverkusen.

For me, Martial has to play in the middle, I think he's a bit wasted out wide.  Not sold on Bailey yet.

Jorginho is a DM. Kovacic is a CM, he used to play attacking midfield in Inter before Madrid bought him. Highest dribble success rate in Laliga last season, He's can play higher up the pitch easily, especially in the Hamsik role.

I’ve been preparing for Hazard to leave for the last two years now so while it’ll obviously be sad to see him go, it isn’t unexpected news him coming out with these comments. He’s always wanted the Madrid move and ultimately the player gets what they want.

As long as we get an acceptable fee then it will be cheerio Eden.

I'd love Isco in midfield with Jorginho and Kante. Then have a wide forward play Hazards position  under Sarri.

Many here are saying Isco is no chance though. Fuck Ascensio that guy looks average every time I watch him. There's no one else is have from Madrid. Bale is too injury prone. The rest of their best players are CM's.

The more I think about it. The probability of Madrid coming in for him is far from certain. Isco, Ascensio, Bale and James (who I've heard the new manager rates) are essentially vying for 3 spots max. The only one they would probably sell is James and this club is STUPID to get him. Not the player for the PL. Too slow. 

But even if we get James, for the sake of argument, one of the other three will HAVE to be on the bench. That won't be Isco, but the other two have come out and said they will leave if they remain bench warmers. 

Here's the problem as I see it. If Hazard comes, one or two or Ascensio, Bale and James leaves. And I would have none of them.

They have Vasquez too don't they? I'm not a huge fan of Asensio from what I've seen of him but apparently he is highly rated at Madrid and by Lopetegui. 

Last season Ronaldo played predominantly as a striker and with Benzema in decline and likely to leave too, their priority is surely going to be a top class striker who can replace a large proportion of the goals Ronaldo scored them. They also have to start planning ahead to replace Modric eventually. I've heard a few rumours that they are interested in Milinkovic-Savic and he won't come cheap either.

To me Hazard seems like a luxury and not a necessity for them.

It's just a matter of how much control of transfers has the coach and how much Perez. Coach would certainly think like you, but Perez... I don't think so.

Everything that I've read has always suggested though that Perez has never been that keen on Hazard.
