I think there are things Hazard does that are better than Messi, but he doesn't have the consistency of Leo and there's no shame there. As I was watching El Classico I tried to envision Hazard playing with Barca and frankly he would would put up insane #s because his style meshes very well with Tiki Taka.

I look at his numbers with Chelsea and in a more offensive system he might have 25+ goals and 20+ assists.

He's under appreciated because he doesn't have the big numbers, but I think it has a lot to do with the Chelsea system, but also the lack of having players on his level.

Hazard isn't really that great in goal and people that get +25 assists, usually get it because they excel in set peices, which Hazard does not do well in.

Hazard style doesnt work well with La Masia style. Real Madrid would be a better situation granted bale/rodriguez/cristiano were not there.

Hazard is appreciated at the right level when we have our manager calling him the best young player in the world and the fact he gets PFA recognition and somehow got into the balloon d'oor nomination.

Watching the game I was thinking if Hazard played for either of the two sides he would impact the game massively.

Sometimes I think the only attacking player at Chelsea on the same wavelength is Eto'o and perhaps Willian at a push.

Scoring shitload of goals and being consistent is keeping him apart from Messi or Ronaldo.

I think dribbling of Hazard is already fantastic and is 3rd best dribbler this season, skills and success wise, but I think he will never be goal scorer ala Ronaldo/Messi. He certainly has potential and 'could' do it, but he isnt natural goalscorer. He is natural dribbler though. His eye for pass is similar to Messi (it amazes me that Messi is as much striker as is great playmaker), Ronaldo is worse than Hazard in distributing ball to players (he is too selfish).

Hazard will be 20 goals winger per year, maybe 30 in peak, fantastic dribbler and the one who will be key player in our future trophies. Im happy with that.

Hazard is not better than Messi in any aspect of the game. Leo is the best technical player by a far margin and he is way more consistent than Eden!

Now, that doesnt mean Hazard isnt amazing. It just means that he still is far away from Messi's absurd level.

If you mean prime barcelona Messi, Messi would be the number 10 and score like 40 goals behind the main striker and take every set piece possible. Not as many goals as Barcelona, but definitely more than Eden.
