Eden has hardly ever got injured in his career. I think he's was only ever injured once at Lille and prior to this season, twice for us. Now he's been injured twice in the space of a month.

Maybe it's just wear and tear of playing too much football. No player has played more PL minutes than him since he joined us in 2012. Hopefully, a speedy recovery. I really miss the magic we've seen from THAT Hazard.

He's getting older mate. Happens to everyone and now is the time he's got to start looking after himself. He's not quite at the Ricky Hatton stage of ballooning between fights but he does need to start watching how he prepares his body in my opinion.

Exactly

. And the point you and some others are trying to make would carry more weight if it was brought into the question before Mourinho threw Hazard under the bus and questioned his professionalism at Leicester.

It was brought up by people actually at the matches. Even on Twitter you had people commenting on it so I'm surprised you weren't aware.

But there's no relation between maintaining your fitness level and (supposedly) faking an injury. You can question his professionalism in not keeping up to shape for pre-season but not his professionalism or even dignity that he's faking an injury and not wanting to play for the club.

That's a convincing response...

Honestly, why is it so difficult for people to accept that Hazard has really picked up an injury? It's pretty desperate stuff that some are trying to find conspiracy theories and all that to justify what happened under Mourinho.

Nothing to do with Jose. There is a correlation between fitness and injuries though, you're a young lad you must've had at least one PT session where that was made clear to you.

One might think if you can find cause for concern for a player's professionalism that it might bleed over into other areas. But you'll disagree so let's just enjoy the result today.

Yes but in Hazard's case, it's not THAT bad till has any correlation. He didn't exactly come back totally fit in previous pre-seasons and he didn't suffer any notable injuries, did he? IIRC, this is like the 3rd time only that he's suffered a notable injury. Otherwise, his injury record has been near perfect.

Age and miles on the clock are a factor in that too. He's not 17 and a pup anymore, he's 25 in a few days with over 400 games under his belt.

Not long till he makes a groaning sound getting off the sofa.:D

Hiddink on Hazard's injury...

‘He slipped, spread his legs and he has a little problem with a muscle inside his groin. We’ll see tomorrow with the MRI scan how damaged it is.’

Moron! If this is the way you treat players, that contributed already so mutch to your club, when they have a bad period you don't deserve top players.

But what the hell,  you are propably one of the idiots still shouting the Mourinho name every game and making a fool of yourselves in front of the rest of Europe.

Hopefully you have see. En the last 4 games why Mourinho should hebt been fired in september instemde of december.

He should rest and fully recover both physically and mentally before he comes back into the team. There needs to be some improvement from him because it hasnt been anywhere near good enough.

Costa had a shocking start to the season but he has shown improvement these last few weeks.

Is it just me or did we look better after he went off?

Hard to tell really. We weren't in control of the game BEFORE he went off and we weren't in control of the game AFTER he went off either. We only took control of the match after we got the first goal and even then, that came out of the blue because we created absolutely nothing before that.

He is one among those who wanted Jose out by not playing to his best. Now that Jose is out we need him blazing. For his attitude displayed since the medic incident hazard lost it and became a figure head in the team a passenger. He should play to his fullest Jose is out

Find it quite sad that some people are turning their backs so easily on Hazard, the player who won the Player of the Year accolades last season and the one who led us to the title when everyone else had ran out of steam last year, after one bad half of a season. Granted, he has been poor but I don't think he deserves his professionalism to be questioned at all (it only really picked up steam after Mourinho threw him under the bus at Leicester). If some can show a lot of patience with Mourinho, who was in his worst moment and after all the wrong things he's done, then why can't people do the same with Hazard? (heck, even Torres got far more patience despite doing next to nothing!) We are not talking about an average player here. We are talking about a special talent who has played his part in helping us win things in recent years and who will become of the best in years to come. He deserves better support than what he has been shown so far, particularly in his toughest moment of his career.

Already corrected you on this once mate but it's been muttered about for quite a while amongst the supporters. Some just laugh off his 'slow starts' to the season but others take that one step further and ask why.

Don't misrepresent people's criticism as them turning their backs on them - maybe those supporters don't deserve you criticising them.
