Peppi85 110
It's likely he didn't get his head up in time to see the run after he had made that dribble. The ball was behind him; so he didn't feel like he could make that pass perfectly & when he finally got the ball in front of him, it was too late...edit; like Bir_CFC said

Dion 2,476
You guys are thinking too narrow. The pass was still possible if he lobbed/chipped the ball. Sort of like the pass from James to CR7 goal recently against Arsenal. It would have been even easier for Hazard than it was for James, since Oscar had more space than Cristiano. MrExcalibur100 7,124
Apparently, Eden is going to be on the ballon d'Or shortlist announced tomorrow. 2 years in a row! Bir_CFC

chelseafc9010 224
He deserves it after last season. On the Cesc being taken off instead of Eden, Jose seems to love Cesc, and Cesc is a more defensive player than Eden is and would pack the midfield so I can see why he didn't take off Cesc instead. ParNolio7 285
and took of Fabregas instead absolutely that would've been the only substitution to make any sense.

Leif 6,006
What an absurd statement. Some Chelsea fans. SMH. What's absurd is acting like we're all on the cusp of cumming over Hazard but never actually reaching that climax since ultimately, he fails to deliver more often than he should. If the idea that there are flaws to Hazard's game that he isn't improving on is somehow a bad notion which makes one absurd, then you are as absurd as myself. Leif 6,006
He's a very good player. But Reus, Ribery (at least pre-Guardiola) and other players in his position are great players. I don't care how many dribbles Hazard can make in a game. Dribbling never made a footballer great. Being a game winner consistently is what makes a player great, or being a game saver. Anything else and you're just another player making up the 11, not a Ballon D'or winner.Apparently it's difficult to see the difference between very good performances and exceptional performances, for some. chelseafc9010 and Danny Boyukliev

Hail to the new self-elected King Know-It-All of Football!... This 'll be Hazard's problem for the whole of his career. Fans who genuinely enjoy a game of football will love him because they see & appreciate how glorious his touches are. Fans who are just about the results and the stats dislike him because they feel all of his "nice football" leads to too little. I'm happy to be in the first group. If you think about it, it's actually the same discussion as Lukaku's but then the other way around. Fans from the first group dislike Lukaku because of the ugly technique. Fans from the 2nd group love him because of his great goalscoring record.
