For one, even if we tried to bring him here, I don't think he would want to join or that Arse would sell him for something reasonable.

That aside, yes the season behind him is spectacular. Seasons before that? Not so much. He will be 29 when the new season starts. With his injury record that doesn't sound convincing. We would be stuck with an injury prone player on high wages that would give us 1 or 2 good years if he stayed fit.

Van Persie is a striker. Yes, he can play on the wing, but it's stupid bringing a striker to play on the wing position with what I mentioned above.

Hulk would bring a new dimension into our team. Van Persie would just score goals and give Eva more work.

I would like a strong winger tbh, someone who can speed down the line and not get brushed off the ball and can give full backs a hard time. I feel as tho Chamberlain will be very Hulk like in the future. He's an exceptional talent.

Bale would be second realistic option to Hulk, not Schurle, Moses or Willian.

I would be equaly happy with either, but as character I like Hulk more. Anyway, Bale has speed, crossing, some strenght and height, he would fit here too. But spurs wont sell him anyday to us...Unless we make 50£ mio bid...

Agree, his individual skills are what we realy need (plan B ), not just his strenght. Guy can decide game on his own, if Mata and Hazard cant pass to Torres, no one will score, but Hulk can with his speed, shots,...I dont think Willian or Schurle are capable to score when its needed, but Hulk is. Also, his experience would play big role in attack too, and still has all time to improve further in PL.

Unfortunely, Bale signed four year extention, Modric will leave and AVB wont sell him to us, unless we pay more than 50mio£.

I am still not convinced with Torres but it is evident that the club has decided to give him 1 more season to prove what he can do. We also have Sturridge and Lukaku competing for striker position and I can't see any Drogba replacements coming in at the moment.

At the moment, our right wing doesn't have a player which prefers to play there. Malouda is on the exit doors, Marin will needs time to adapt and hasn't been really impressive at Werder for some time while Mata and Hazard will occupy the left and central attacking positions. KDB may go out on loan, but even if he stays, he prefers to play in the middle and on the left. From here, you can see that we could really use a player who can cause havoc on the right wing and for the reasons I wrote couple of posts back, Hulk is the best player for that.

He is expensive, but we are rich and the transfer is dragging on since the club is not letting Porto milk us anymore while they are playing hardball. Remember what happened when we signed David Luiz. At a certain point it looked we turned away and negotiations broke down, but in the end Benfica had to lower their price and we signed him.

All the talk of Hulk being a physical threat is nonsense, Moses is much much better at using his strength to keep the ball. Against City in both legs of the Europa League last season he didn't exactly use his so called "strength" very well, he was being knocked off the ball very easily and was diving as well. I think if we want a winger we should look at their speed, crossing and dribbling abilities rather than how strong they are.

I love the idea of our team having a big physical presence, though realistically, we need arial threats, which we have, ivanovic and terry are very useful from set pieces, and torres although he is no drogba in power wise still is 6ft and can be useful target upfront. Also with the fact that the refs seem to whistle if you breath on someone would make nimble players even more useful, when we play teams like stoke which will try and intimidate our great attack physically. I am very much for Hulk coming but just saying it isn't just because of his physical strength. He has a great record as well. Yes its in a weaker league though as i have said before he can only play against what is put in front of him, and a chance in the big leagues could rrally make him into an amazing player.

I think it was always Hazard or Hulk for us and since we've signed the former for 32m,its time we forget about Hulk and look for other wingers who will cost less than 25m.

KDB? a player who got loaned last season, i realy dont think RDM want him to be first choise that quick. Ramires? doubt it. Who else?

Lets say we realy want Wilian, but he's an LW. How many LW's can we have in the starting line up...

You could say we can play: Mata-Oscar-Hazard. But its stupid, Mata and Hazard are far better at LW/CAM than RW.

So i still think it make sense that we'll get Hulk, or other very good RW... and no, not Moses etc...

yeah torres isnt weak, studge is pretty strong/fast/physical plus mikel/lamps in the mid are always rocks we dont need rugby sized athletes lol, our back 4 aside from ash are all big men too, I am quite content with this team, i mean im indifferent to getting anymore signings

I'm pretty confident with this squad being much better than last season's, but do we honestly think we've improved enough to make up 25 points or whatever it was? There's still work to be done in terms of signings. 2-3 more additions and 2-3 more departures, hopefully.

Just can't imagine we'll be seeing Malouda in a blue shirt come the season opener. He's one who must go. Yossi and possibly Essien too.

As much as I'd love this, I just don't think it's likely at all. We're absolutely loaded in midfield, and with Oscar seeming likely, don't see how he'd get much if any game time. Lamps, Meireles, Romeu, Mikel, Ramires, and maybe Oscar. Who's he going to displace?
