termninja 5,290
I just found this, it was released 4 minutes ago XDChelsea offer Benfica Nemanja Matic as makeweight in £25.5m deal for David Luiz Chelsea have offered Benfica the midfielder Nemanja Matic as the makeweight in the €30 million (£25.5 million) deal to sign David Luiz. read rest here...Shame we will give them Matic. I liked him. I think he can be a quite good backup CM in the next season when he's back from loan.

chrismada9 1,948
As I said before, Rajkovic would have been the better player to offer them, but I suppose they would want someone better than him right??
Swoopz 183
We're not losing a cancer cure here... Thank you Matic, now go on and let the big boys play
Peace. 4,352
I always liked his hair.Yeah me too. Can't understand why people want him to cut his hair.If Ivanovic moves on the right and Luiz comes in the central defence, it's gonna be weird to have a CB faster than our RB. I would in a first time try to play him as a right back, because for now Iva and Terry are a good partnership. And I hope he gonna become accustomed to the EPL quickly. NoFear 23
I dont think Luiz will have any problem settling into our backline... he is a perfect replacement for our Ricky - A ball playing CB. Cole-JT-Luiz-Brana ftw !!!

Randall 315
Hitting a bit of a stumbling block. Benfica getting pissy about part-exchange want straight cash and are playing him in tonights game. From the MailOnline.

LDN Blue 7,903
Why is Luiz even playing anyway?? That's what I would like to knowProbably the Benfica President trying to make a statement along the lines of "sign him now, or we'll keep playing him"Or a chance for him and the fans to say goodbye. Badboy 1,526
Despite our bad form, Brano has been one player who has worked hard and done well whenever he's started, so I would say they were about the same.Yes brano is brilliant but David Luiz is a different type of defender, the sort of defender we need. I think David luiz can supplement all that power and determination we have in terry and ivo/alex ! Edited January 26, 2011 by Badboy
LDN Blue 7,903
5 days left in the transfer window. Starting to lose hope on this
BLionheart 516
when it comes to transfers , i wish we could be just like barca ..... it is as simple as barca has signed villa or afellay , but with chelsea you get a month and a half of negotiations where no one knows if that is gonna end with the transfer or not . Randall 315
Worried about this now.
RX8 40
when it comes to transfers , i wish we could be just like barca ..... it is as simple as barca has signed villa or afellay , but with chelsea you get a month and a half of negotiations where no one knows if that is gonna end with the transfer or not .When it comes to hiring, is a way of torture The worst is negotiating for weeks and I do not see that come out with good deals, we always pay a lot of money or end up with empty hands and denying any offer. Frankly, the business department should be fired. The only time the players wanted and forcing their outputs to arrive at Chelsea was with Mou, but it was because the kind of coach he is, not because the negotiators were the turning point
chrismada9 1,948
Probably the Benfica President trying to make a statement along the lines of "sign him now, or we'll keep playing him"Or a chance for him and the fans to say goodbye. Both of those seem reasonable I suppose. Although I really hope the second point you suggested is the one that's true
Laylabelle 9,534
Half of our transfers do seem to do this whole..nearly signing him then the other club changing their minds and throwin a hissy fit and wacking on some extra dosh and spouting some crap and ending up not being solved in time.Hopfully this one can be done..not a lot of time mind :S
