Muzchap 8,966
Very impressed with him, he kept it simple, he also got the ball forward now and then, did he even give it away?.Won quite a few headers and Boro are a very physical side, some good tackles, one great interception in the second half which could've lead to a boro goal had he not of been covering.I even heard a a boro supporter next to me, some bloke saying he's been impressive Ake and looks like one for the future. Be good to see him get more games, but obviously take it slow first.I'm voting for Kojo to replace Emanelo Nice write up mate - glad you enjoyed the game - always good to witness a Win Kojo

CHOULO19 24,332
Like I said in the match thread, he looked very impressive on his first senior start. A bit too enthusiastic in places but that is expected at his age. Hi distribution was good and defending and tackling even better. Positioning still needs some work though. Keep it up Nathan. Stingray 9,441
Nice game. Looked like a candle in the dark (Rafa - wise) during this game.

English Freak 456
Good to see Aké provide some energy in the midfield.Haven't seen energy and enthusiasm in Chelsea's midfield since the days Essien was in his prime....Mikel always jogs around, never really looks enthusiastic sodasys

Got forward well as well and I think both goals involved him. I'm a fan of DM's who start off as defenders and move forward rather than converting more creative players into DMs because the first instinct will always be to track back, but he's also got lovely technique on the ball. Definitely looks like he could solve a problem in the double pivot, as does Chalobah.
DH1988 1,348
Hopefully he can see some more time, we definitely need some of that energy in the middle of the park. The only place to be
Popular Post! BlueLion. 21,491 Posted February 28, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted February 28, 2013 Good performance. Nothing spectacular but very composed from the young man.Let's no get carried away though. He did well against Middlesbrough, like Luiz did well against Aston Villa. Let's wait and see if he can do it against Bayern Munich and Barcelona, like Mikel can. We all got ahead of ourselves with Kakuta and McEachran, and look how those two have ended up. I'm excited to see him kick on for us because we really need someone to take that position by the scruff of the neck and now we have two genuine prospects in Ake and Chalobah which could save us millions of pounds in the transfer market. Jase 43,479
Very impressed by his performance yesterday. Played some good simple passes to retain possession and keep the attack going. Put in some good tackles, made a few good interceptions and showed that he's good in the air too by winning some headers. Hope to see more of him though as Alex pointed out, best not to get carried away too much yet but Aka definitely showed what he's capable of. OReillyD36 311
Really impressed me, you can say it's just 'boro but he played with enthusiasm, confidence and composure. Impressed me more than Romeu did on his first start, looking forward to how he turns out. The only place to be

Bir_CFC 3,455
The reason he was held back and not sent on loan is purely because we are so thin in midfield and required a contingency plan. If no one gets injured for the rest of the year and we got knocked out of Europa then he will probably get no more minutes. His development would have never factored into that equation, sadly.
