Never understood how a goalkeeper could be captain, the captain needs to be in the refs face all the time and shouting instructions at his teammates. It's hard to do that when you're stuck in goal.

If someone is a great leader they will do all the captain's duties regardless of the armband. Casillas is the Captain of Real Madrid but I'd wager Alonso or Ramos is the leader on the pitch.

That is such a tough question to answer. I don't like GK Captains as they can't leave their goal area and give instructions during a game as such. I don't like Gerrard and i think his and Lampard's England days are coming to an end. Plus he's a cunt. If JT gets it, Hodgson will get sacked so i can't see that one lol, Parker is ageing a bit but i would personally chose him at least for the Euro's. Epitomises English bravery and courage which is so vital in that area of the pitch. Where we don't have the flair, we have passion like Chelsea vs Barca and England vs Spain.
