Found that drab last year too. Fucking menus taking forever to load, calendar was slower than a scouser and so many unrealistic transfers it was laughable.

Nah, the transfers always evened themselves out anyway, big club loses key player.. big club signs another key player in january etc etc. In fact that was the only downside to last seasons career mode. Apart from that it was perfect, No idea what you're on about with the menus, they were fine.. maybe a problem with your disc.

Career mode has a brand new layout which makes navigating much easier. Also if you choose to sim to a date on the calendar you no longer get pulled back to read emails, they just build up in your inbox

Thanks. I am still trying to work out whether I like the demo right now, still very unsure.

Will also be downloading PES later today to see how that is.

Hearing this many times now, but haven't played the demo yet...

Sluggish in player movement or just in general?

Fifa 13 to me was more like basketball, with the game play too open and defending poor especially when it came to dealing with long balls.

I heard they were going to make it more challenging this time around to score goals and appreciate build-up play even more.

Is the demo anything like that?

Build up play is definitely a lot better, they've made it a lot harder which I like, but it's the movement of players when they're on the ball that is sluggish. I'm very sure they'll adjust it for the full game though.
