Echo what TC has said above me really. I'd rather Arsenal went through in their group than Schalke. Germany is catching up to la liga and premier league so the better the premier league teams do the better, Just look at Serie A.

Nah I think serie A problem is more about stadium ownership. I think Juve is the only big serie a team that owns their own ground

I seem like the only one who wants the English teams to advance. A lot of people hate other clubs, I don't care at all about them, I want what's best for Chelsea and it's better for Chelsea if English clubs stay in the tournament longer. It's not just the coefficient, it's that extra games in the CL means a harder time in the league. Even getting to the quarterfinals, means an extra 4 crucial games in late February through early April. That means that you have to rotate players in games in the league. It means your players get tired, get more prone to injury, etc...Look at us late last year. We were playing our bench in league games for the last month and a half because of the FA Cup and CL.

Definitely agree. I think the only English club who won't make it out of their group is Man City.

Yes, but it also means they can still win the thing. I better risk to play against fit players than to see ManCity or Arsenal winning the UCL (not that I believe they will).

Spurs and Liverpool double bill. Looking forward to the Liverpool V Anzhi game, see how bad Eto'o has got since playing in a poor league. Aaron Lennon captain for Spurs as well, no idea what that's all about

AVB still hasn't learned when it comes to substitutions. You need a goal against a poor side and you bring Sandro off instead of Huddlestone. Baffling how Adebayor wasn't in the squad either, creates his own downfall most of the time and tonight is no exception

Hulk was really poor today, for the past 4-5 months i watched him play for Brazil and he wasn't that great, definitely not 40 million worth... seems like we dodged a bullet.

Well a bit of the forum did try and tell a large minority of the forum that but everyone thought because he could score 30 goals a season in Portugal he was probably worth it. It seemed more or less everyone wanted him until we got Hazard and Oscar..
