Its the belief as well. From the off. None of this play half a game and switch off crap.  That and the scary pace. We did well losing 2-0 way we can play.

Klopp's all action direct system protects his midfield, if they can hit a through ball into space, defend well and have good athleticsm they're set, whereas us and City need midfielders comfortable in possession first and foremost as our first aim is to control possession and the game.

CL was ALL (due to bans) about blocking teams (Manure and Arse or Spuds) in trans market and then the extra millions of quid in prize ££££££££.

Will they be blocked? Arsenal signed Lacazette while out of it and Auba at a point another season out of it was looking likely, while United got Pogba and Ibra to give up CL footy at clubs in good positions to strongly challenge to play Europa at United, also Kante, Jorginho, Luiz, Sarri gave up CL football to come here. 

I don't think it's half as bad a market handicap as people think.

I really wanted spuds and manure in 5th and 6th. Manure complied. Spuds can still go easily now via 4th or 3rd OR A CL final win.

I wanted no CL for them to hasten up break up of the team and Poch to leave. Eriksen is going to Real. Hopefully Kane goes soon, to Barca (perfect fit) or PSG or Juve (as Real have Jovic now). All that is needed then is some huge club to pull Son. I would take him IN A HEARTBEAT. Dele Alli is most overrated English player in game atm, other than maybe Pickford. 2 of their 3 starting CB's will probably leave, and Trippier is going to Napoli. I see them in 2, 3 years as a 10th place team as soon as Poch and Kane go. Levy is one cheap fuck, he will never drop hundreds of millions to maintain.

Pace with brains. We have plenty of quick players and Hazard, Willian, CHO who are rapid, Kante, Barkley, RLc, Pedro, Rüdiger are quick as well. Also Liverpool and city only have a few absolute rapid players (walker, sterling, sane, mane, salah) the rest are just nippy. But the difference is to make decisions in the same pace as your feet run and have the mental urgency to execute them inmediately. This is what we lack. Not even hazard makes the perfect decision most of the time but that is where good coaching comes in apart from learning ability. If Willian had the decisionmaking and game intelligence to match his speed and skill he would be the best player in the world.

But i agree, the more quality pace merchants the better. Even an otherwise wellbalanced mediocre player can cause tons of problem when he has insane pace

Whereas our strengths this season has been the ability to pass it many times and either go to nothing, other lot scoring or backwards to the goalie. Quite quick at that part.

Its just crazy and sad how quickly we've fallen behind. Know was slowly happening but now so so clear how big of a gap it is. We're average.

It started as soon as we won the CL in 2012. It has been a slow, downward grind since then, with only Hazard and Kante as superb intakes. Crazy bad sales, buys, contractual decisions, botched transfers, not backing managers, etc etc.
