Reading on FB and Twitter that the ref tongiht has a Catalan wife dunno if thats true or not!

I think that this is fake as the source of this is wikipedia and that information is not allready there. But what is more important, I've read ( from multiple sources ), that he is Bayern Munich fan and I think he would be glad if Munich played final against Chelsea instead of Barcelona.

Every Bayern fan who is sane would prefer Chelsea over Barcelona for the final. If the referee wants his team to lose, then so be it.

But we really should stop caring so much about referees. Yes they're always on Barca's side, but I'm pretty sure the players don't think the same as the vast majority of the fans, we really should be expecting from the players more than from the officials. Just saying.

Oh Ovrebo I have only cried twice, once in the 2008 Champions League lost to Man U and after this game a couple of tears (as I was with my friends but nobody noticed :P), so much anger so much in stake, and for your mistakes we lost, but this, this is just a gentleman, I salute you sir, nothing can be done for the past but at least you admitted your mistakes and I can finally have some closure on this. Referee in the Korea Vs Spain in the 2002 WC game I'm still waiting for you to come clean...

Just what a gentleman. And right now when we most need it.

"I shouldn't have to apologise as mistakes are part of the game."

Yes you should, you fucking idiot!

If Drogba is starting for this game then it means Torres will start against Arsenal which will again mean that Drogba will start in the second league.Man,RDM is going to have a real tough week.

Maybe RDM is going to surprise everyone and start Sturridge instead...Would explain why he has been on the bench these past few weeks. :Goober:

This UCL tie can change our season. IF we somehow won over the 2 legs. It'd be MASSIVE. Even if we don't win the FA cup and don't get into the Top 4, the sheer Publicity, reputation and talk we would build from beating them would be incredible. Plus we'd have reached the finals. IMO We would attract the top players again because we've beaten the mighty Farcelona, the worlds best team and would have proven we are still a force in Europe. This is all a MASSIVE IF though

That'd be a shame, Drogba vs Arsenal is a must. I'd play Torres at the Nou Camp, probably in Spain he'd be extra motivated.

My keys to this match, some of which have already been mentioned:

1) Maintain an aggressive mindset. If you play on your heels, even with players tracking back and helping, you're playing right into the hands of Barca.

2) Related to #1, exploit Barca's defensive weakness.

3) Avoid the feeling out process in the first 20 minutes of this match. You know what you're going to get with Barca. Attack from the KO and scoring the first goal, ideally an early goal, would be absolutely huge.

4) If the Blues are to win, there will be at least one goal from a set piece. Take advantage of our size.

Also, I have to disagree with anyone who thinks 1-0 Chelsea tonight and scoreless draw next week is going to happen. If anything, I see more of a 3-2 game tonight, due to Barca's defensive weakness and exploitable areas.

Blue Flag, CFC, Let's gooooo!

Great picture

And there's Ferrer too in our front row, ex Barca and us of course who does punditry for la liga. Memories.

5-1 was actually a bit harsh too, we were actually 7 minutes from going through until they made it 3-1 and then actually done us in extra time.
