Pointless article on skysports.

It's been close to 3 months since the sacking and Di Matteo is going to land a good managerial role at a German/Italian club sooner rather than later.

That´s your opinion. Personally, his style of park the bus did not sit well with me. Even Roman was not too pleased about it.

He seemed rather pleased lifting the CL trophy.

Did you expect him to do anything else ?

I don't know. Maybe his son was crying because of how shit we played and Roman was all smiles and happy because he finally had an excuse to sack the useless turd.

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power & not truth.

His "style of park the bus".... wait, are you fucking kidding me? We played defensive football in three games under RDM. In the rest we played expansive, attractive attacking football. Absolutely hilarious some of the stuff you read on here nowadays.

I think we let Robbie's "Legend" tag get to us a little too much when it comes to this subject-matter. I think we've done him a favor to be honest, the timing of his departure didn't tarnish his hero tag because it was so early one. He's in the Champions League Winning Coach's alumni and no-one will take that away from him, but if he wasn't a club legend, I don't think his sacking would come as a surprise to most - considering he wasn't the club's ideal choice in the first place.

I'd rather win trophies ugly than lose all pretty like. Success > aesthetics.

Spike has spoken.

I grew up watching English football, English tactics, English style.. All this "play like Barca" sh*t makes me sick.

I grew up watching Australian rugby, Australian tactics, Australian style. When I see people like Steve Nicol talk about the 'hard days of football' and 'these diving foreign types' I kind of laugh, I'm used to seeing 120kg monsters running at eachother and even AFL is twice as physical as football. Need to jump higher in AFL? That's alright, you can use the opponet's head as a launch pad, haha. I though I'd share my history...

I don't give a fuck how it's done (as long it's within the rules of the game), winning is winning. You only need to score 38 goals a season to get maximum points.

Indeed.

Of course I understand the attraction of watching pass-pass-pass. But when pass-pass-pass fails, there's often no plan B and that's what Guardiola found out when he played us, when we did play defensive football - counter-attack football.
